Pre-task preparations
Activity 1
Ask one student to the front of the classroom and describe him to the students by using the new words tall, thin, etc.
Activity 2
Have the students listen while looking at the picture in “Let’s talk” on Students’ Book page 24.
While-task procedures
Activity 1
Have the students practice the adjectives by using the blackboard drawings and flashcards.
Activity 2
Have the students listen to the chant on Student’s Book page 27, and try to guess the meaning.
Activity 3
Ask the students to role-play as Alice.
Activity 4
Have the students introduce the person in “Listen and tick” on Workbook page 26.
Post-task activities
Activity 1
Ask the students to do “Listen and tick” and “Listen and match” on Workbook page 26.
Activity 2
Describe some students to the class and ask them to guess who he/she is.

大部分学生都能准确说出本节课所学单词,但在运用单词上,部分学生区分不出thin和short的用法。两个词的意思弄混淆了。下节课,需要重点解决这两个词。

Have the students introduce their family members.
Activity 2
Show a picture of two girls and two boys to the students, and ask some questions.
Activity 3
Show the wall picture of Student’s Book page 26, and then have the students listen to the recording of “Let’s play”.
While-task procedures
Activity 1
Have the students listen to the chant on Student’s Book page 27 and repeat after it. Activity 2
Have the students listen to the recording for Student’s Book page 25 and repeat after it. Encourage the students to act it out.
Activity 3
Have the students play the guessing game on Student’s Book page 26. Then check the answers.
Post-task activities
Activity 1
Ask the students to introduce their friend or classmate, using the sentences This is… He’s/She’s…
Activity 2
Have the students do “Look, listen and say” and “Listen, tick and answer” on Workbook pages 27 and 28. Then check the answers.

Have the students do Task “Draw and talk about your good friend” on Workbook page29.
