Step1. Pre-task preparation

2. Show the flashcards for spring and summer and review the two words. Then teach the new words ask the Ss to repeat after you.21世纪教育网版权所有
3. Show a card of one of the seasons and hide it quickly. Then ask the Ss to guess what season it is. Ask the boys and girls to have a competition.21cnjy.com

Step2. While-task procedure
Stick the flashcards for the four seasons on the blackboard. Then show the flashcards for warm, hot, cool, cold. Explain the words with your body language. Then match the four adjectives with the seasons to help the Ss learn the words.
Eg.
T:spring spring .
Ss: warm , warm , warm.
T: summer ,summer.
Ss: summer is hot .
Have the Ss listen to the recording for “let’s talk”on page30 of the Student’s Book. Explain the pictures and have the students practise several times. Then ask some students to repeat the sentences.2·1·c·n·j·y
