Step 1. Pre-task preparation
Review and read the rhyme
a. review the colours.red/yellow/green
I see red. I see green. I see yellow.
I see the beautiful rainbow.
Shining over there, outside my window.
Step 2. While-task procedure
1. Look and say: Look at… It’s… Let’s….
Show the pictures and respond quickly.
T: Look at the light.
Ss: It’s red. Let’s stop.
T: Look at the light.
Ss: It’s yellow. Let’s wait.
T:Look at the light.
Ss: It’s green. Let’s go.
listen to tape. Act out the dialogue in pairs.
2. Listen and enjoy
Say the rhyme and raise the correct card.
(show the card for traffic lights on red)
Stop,stop,stop.
Stop by the road.
Cars wait to go.
Hello,hello,hello.
(show the card for traffic lights on green)
Go,go,go.
Cross the road.
Cars go past,
