Step 1. Lead-in
Lead-in by discussing the following questions:
1. What time is it now?
2.What does Mr. Smith have for breakfast?
3. What does Jenny want to put on her cereal?
Discuss the questions in groups. The teacher shows some pictures of different food, such as cereal, bread, salad, juice,tea.
Ask the students to talk about them for three minutes, and then let them present their result in class.
Step 2. Listening
Listen to the tape and find the answers to the questions:
1. Can Lynn have salad for breakfast?
2. What does Jenny have for breakfast?
3.What does Mrs. Smith have?
Finish the task in class orally.
Step 3. Reading
Read the text and decide the statements are true or false.
1. Mr. Smith makes a salad.
2. Jenny wants to put sugar on her cereal.
Finish the task in class orally.
Step 4. Activities
1. Greet with friends in groups. Make up a dialogue between three or four students. Then present it in front of the class. The following sentences can be used:
Can you tell me your favourite food?
What do you have for breakfast?
2. Think it over and tell us your report.
Step 5. Write a short note.
Let the students write a short note to introduce their breakfast, and remember to tell their favourite food and what they have for breakfast.
Ask the students to practice for a while, and then let them read their notes in front of the class.
Step 6. Come to “ Let’s Do It!”
Listen to the tape and finish Exercise 1 together. Read the dialogue again and finish Exercise 2.
Work with your partner and finish Exercise 4.
Step 7. Homework
1. Finish exercise in the activity book.
2. Finish Exercise 3 in “ Let’s Do It!”

Step 1. Lead-in
Lead-in by discussing the following questions:

2.Does Danny have a list?
3. What do they buy in the supermarket?
Shows some pictures of different food, drink and a list to the class. Let the students discuss the question in groups.
Ask the students to talk about them for three minutes, and then let them present their result in class.
Step 2. Listening
Listen to the tape and find the answers to the questions:
1. The supermarket is full of .
2. They buy on the list.
Finish the task in class orally.
Step 3. Reading
Read the text and decide the statements are true or false.

Step 4. Practice
