Photography is a good way of remembering the past. When children use a digital camera, they learn to look at the world just a little differently. Here are some ideas for turning photography into a learning experience for kids.
Idea 1: Make a Photo Diary
Take photos of interesting things you see during the day. These can be as simple as a pet you keep,a parent who is packing your lunch, or a pretty leaf on a tree. Organize the photos in a scrapbook(剪贴薄), adding a short title or a sentence to describe each photo. So everyone can easily understand what you are trying to say!
Idea 2: Put your Photos on T-shirts
With a print program like Print Artist and some T-shirt transfer(转换) paper, you can put your photos to T-shirts to create wearable photo art.
Idea 3 What Could This Be?
Another interesting photo project is to take a picture of a common, everyday, object at a very odd angle. When they’re done, upload the pictures to the PC and start playing a guessing game. Ask your friends to guess what subject is being photographed in each photo. You’ll be amazed at the answers you get!
As you can see, it’s easier to get creative with digital camera. Try out these projects for great fun!

Does your mood (情绪) change with the season? Some people find that when the temperature goes down. So do their spirits. Then they feel sad and unhappy easily. Here are some ways you can beat the winter blues.
Get out in the sun. Some experts say that winter blues happen because we get less sunlight in winter. Getting more sunlight each day can make us feel happy.
Do some exercise. A short walk or other exercise will make chemicals (化学物质) called endorphins (胺多酚) flow through your body. Endorphins are natural “feeling-good” chemicals.
Eat more healthy foods. Avoid having too much sugar. If you want to eat more sweet foods like cookies or candy, it may be a sign that you need more protein (蛋白质) like meat, chicken, or fish.21*cnjy*com
Get some rest. Studies show that most teens need about nine hours of sleep each night. The average teen, though, gets only about six or seven hours of sleep per night. Don’t push yourself so hard. Make sure you have some time to relax.
Get help. If you feel sad all the time and the feeling won’t go away, you may have a bigger problem than the winter blues. You may have to get help from a doctor.

I have dealt with many children and what I know about self-confidence is :You can’t give them self-confidence. What you can do is to give them opportunities to do things well and in doing things well, they become confident of themselves. I’ve seen many teachers try to say really nice, encouraging things to kids attempting(尝试) to make them feel good about themselves, but it was wrong.
The etymology(词源说明) of the word confidence is interesting. Confidence is from Latin meaning to trust fully. Children must learn to trust themselves, to trust their own abilities and I don’t know of any way to do that but in the doing of things. Children need to be coached on how to attempt things and how to overcome the barriers(障碍) and difficulties and to get up again when they fail and learn from that failure and go on. It’s back to the good old-fashioned basics of hard work and persistence(坚持不懈) and learning from failures.
If I was doing a workshop(专题讨论会) for kids, and I’ve done a few workshops in my life, though they’ve been for high-school kids, I’d help them learn how to achieve. When they know how to achieve and get up again after a batteries, then self-confidence is the result.
47.What should we do to make a person more self-confidence according to the writer?
A.Give them self-confidence.
B.Encourage them and to make them feel good about themselves.
C.Give them chances to do things well. D.We have no ways to do that.
48. How should children do with failures?
A.Children need to be coached on how to attempt things.
B. They should learn from that failure and go on.
C.They should learn be afraid of failures.
D. They have never met failures.
49. Which of the following is True according to the passage?
A.The writer agrees to give children self-confidence.
B.It is wrong to encourage children to do anything
C. The writer hopes to help children learn how to achieve.
D.It is difficult for children to be more self-confidence.
50. Which of the following is the best title of the passage?2·1·c·n·j·y
A. How to Make Children Self-confident B. Self-confidence is Difficult
C.Encourage Children to Own More Self-confidence
D.The Etymology of the Word Confidence Is very Interesting

We can express thoughts and feeling and send sounds and pictures on our smartphones today. We can’t send tastes, smells or touches. But some scientists in Britain are trying to develop a way for smartphones to do that.

A device(装置) called “Scentee” permits users to have the sense of smell. Scientists put a Science into a smartphone, and it can send out small clouds of fragrance(香味), including that of flowers, fruits and coffee. Professor Cheok says the person speaking can make the device start working. The sentence holds a container must be replaced when all the smells run out.21cnjy.com
The sense of touch comes from a ring-like device. It is connected to a smartphone. “I can be in London and my friend can be in Tokyo, and I can squeeze(挤压) my finger and then they’ll get a squeeze on the finger through the Internet. It’s a way of touch communication with small mobile devices,” Professor Cheok said. Professor Cheok hopes device like these will someday be added to houses.
