not as/so …as…1. Jim学得和John一样努力。as...as意为“和……一样”，表示同级的比较。
使用时要注意第一个as为副词，第二个as为连词。
其基本结构为：as+ adj./ adv. +as。as......as 中间要用形容词或副词的原级． Work out the rule它的否定式为not as/so.....as This film is not as/so interesting as that one.这部影片没有那部有趣。He is not as/so tall as you.

(1) as...as possible

(2) as...as usual/before
She looks as pretty as before.
她看起来和以前一样漂亮。
其间接形容词时，有时该形容词还可修饰另一名词，但这个名词应带有不定冠词(注意词序)。它也可用作as+adj.+a/an+n.=a/an+n.+as+adj. Tom is as clever a boy as you .
如：She is as good a teacher as her mother.
她和她妈妈一样是位好老师。
也可说：She is a teacher as good as her mother.
但不可说：She is as a good teacher as her mother. / They are as good teachers as us.
第二个as后接从句时，该as通常为连词，但有时这个as还充当其后从句的主语或宾语，此时该as实为关系代词。如：
I gave him as much as he could eat. 他能吃多少，我就给了他多少。
