【教材分析】
本课选自人教版初中英语七年级下册第九单元，属于描述人的外貌课。根据《新课标》中初中阶段目标要求，本课应侧重于培养学生的口语交际能力，进而培养学生的交往能力，引人创设情景，让学生有如身临其境，采用学生提出问题，学生回答问题，借助媒体来提高学生的主动性。【学情分析】七、五班的学生整体程度较好， 对英语普遍感兴趣，但有很大的不稳定性，好奇心强，求知欲望胜，对刺激记忆手段多的知识记忆深刻，而且学生在七年级上册已经学过关于“What does he like?”这一特殊疑问句式，具有了学习本单元知识的认知前提，能自然地与本单元话题进行衔接。谈论人的外表形象是人们日常生活中遇到的问题。

讲完这节课以后，感触很深，反思如下:
在单元学习之前让学生根据课题搜集、整理与课题相关的人物外表信息（身高、身材、头发颜色，长度及发型、脸部特征、着装、性格表达等）。像这样学生课前自己准备学习材料，并利用他们带入教室的各种信息组织语言教学活动，能够使他们积极的参与到教学当中。要对学生进行经常性的需求分析，随时调整教学内容。
采用任务型语言教学，力图使学生自己输入成为主要教学途径，挖掘利用学生自身的知识与经验，结合学生实际，对教材进行整合，设计出贴近学生、贴近生活的教学内容，使学习内容更切合实际，让学生更容易深切感知。在学习过程中主张学生自主学习，合作学习和群体学习。
