Teaching steps:
Step1.Warm-up
Greeting
Hello, boys and girls, I’m Ms Huang, nice to meet you!
Free talk
T: Look at the clock. What time is it
Ss: It’s …
T: It’s time for…
Ss: It’s time for English class.
T: Yes, it’s time for English class. Are you ready for the class
Ss: Yes.
Chant
Teacher shows a simple chant first, then asks the Ss to follow (with action).
Happy, happy, happy every day. La la la, la la la. Happy every day. (X3 times with action)
In this section, teacher teaches the Ss some orders to follow:
T: Look at me (with action). Ss: Look at you (with action).
T: Everybody stand up! Ss: I stand up.
Review: What time is it It’s …
In this section, teacher uses the clock (handmade) to practice the Ss’s expression of time. Pay attention to the pronunciation of O’clock.
Step2. Presentation and Practice
1. Let’s learn
(1)教师将时钟拨到6点,问学生。
T: What time is it Ss: It’s 6 o’clock.
T: Yes, time to go to Winter Camp.
教师出示单词卡片ticket,并结合句型,教学ticket。以同样的方法引出train和clock单词教学。
(2)教师出示火车发车时间表,通过问答形式来引出Time for …。(期间可以用非整点的时间,让学生了解掌握非整点时间的表达)
In this section, teacher may use some word games to make sure the Ss remember the words. Such kind of word games includes:
Low voice, and loud voice
Clap the cards while read the words loudly
Blow the cards
Keep silent (读到某个规定单词)……
In this section, teacher may praise the S who does well in the performance. There’re some ways of praising the Ss:
Hey, hey, great, hey, hey, hey, great.
You’re good, you’re fine, and you’re perfect No1.
Step3.Conclusion
Guessing game
教师拨动时针,问What time is it 学生猜时间。可用小组竞赛的方式,每组各请一个学生猜,看哪一组能够猜对。(可根据课程表和时间表完成)
Game 心有灵犀
两人一组,一个学生Time for…,另一个说写句子。
Step4. Sum-up

1. 要求学生自己设计一份火车发车时刻表;

一、教学目标
1. 知识目标
词汇:在情景中学习数词one – twelve,并能在情景中生词。
句型:What’s the time 及回答:It’s... (o’clock) 并能表演。
2. 情感目标:
激发学生学习英语的兴趣,调动学习积极性,引导学生积极与他人合作,在活动中培养学生的协作精神和竞争意识。
3. 能力目标:
培养学生的观察力,想象力。发展学生综合运用语言的能力和实际运用语言的能力。
二、教学重难点
教学重点:创设语言情景,使学生正确理解和运用所学知识,用英语询问时间并能正确作答。
教学难点:激发学生的求知欲,创设各种真实或接近真实的语言环境,让学生体验参与,主动学习。
三、教具
课件,歌曲的录音,卡片,头饰
四、教学过程
Step 1 Warming up
1. Sing a song: “Ten little Indians boys”
(通过唱英语歌曲热身,营造了和谐的英语学习氛围,激发了学生的英语学习兴趣。歌曲也为数词的巩固和学习做了铺垫)
2. T: Good morning, boys and girls. Nice to see you.
Ss: Nice to see you, too.
分别与单个学生对话。
(Free talk 帮助学生适应英语语感,自然而然地进入学习状态,同时也拉近了老师学生之间的距离,既为学习新课做了铺垫又复习了旧知)
Step 2 Presentation / Practice
1. T: Now, boys and girls, let’s go to the zoo.
(屏幕上出现5种动物,飞出一些数字,每个数字都带着声音)How many animals can you see Let’s count together.(通过数数也为学生学习后面的知识做了铺垫)
T/S: One two … five.(然后带学生去超市,逐渐飞出一些学习用具,师生共同从6数到12,课堂气氛浓厚,学生很兴奋)
T: Now, Let’s say the numbers.
(教师出示数字卡片)
S: Ok! One, two …
T: Very good! Now, read after the numbers.
(紧接着课件中出一些字谜,让学生猜,然后跟读英语的发音,接着让组与组之间比赛读,指明学生读。并且学生对动物和学习用具比较感兴趣,学习数词1—12 积极性较高,效果良好。)
Step 3 Drill
T: Now, let’s play a game.
(课件屏幕上出现一个汉字,学生用英语数词表达出来,答对的学生电脑给予热烈的掌声)
Now, class. Look at the blackboard, please. What’s that
(教师用简笔画在黑板先画一个C,再画一个L,接着再画一个O,再画一个C,最后画一个K,就成了一个表的样子。)
S: Ah. It’s a clock!
T: Yeah! Good! Look at the clock, what’s the time now
(在钟表上时间7点)
S: It’s seven clock.
T: Excellent! (教师板书: What’s the time It’s … o’clock.)
(教师充分利用小学生想象力及其丰富的优势,设计了Puzzle,谜底揭晓时呈现新知,极大地调动了学生学习的积极性,培养了学生观察,记忆,想象力和创新精神,发展了他们用英语思维的能力)
Step 4 Practice
1. 认识新人物 QiQi and Chick.
课件呈现QiQi and Chick 的对话,谈论图片以及提出问题,学生听录音回答问题。先同桌操练,后利用课前准备的头饰上台表演,师生共同评出最佳演员,给予奖励。
设计意图:让学生带着问题听录音,这样作即体现了新课标中的任务型教学理念,还训练了学生的听力。
