教学目标：
1.知识目标：学生可以读，写，说出并听懂China, speak, Chinese和the capital city。
2.能力目标：学生通过学习，能用英语简单介绍中国，能运用所学知识介绍自己。
3.情感目标：加强对自己的祖国——中国的自豪感，培养学生的跨文化意识。
教学重、难点：
学生能用所学知识介绍自己的祖国。
教学准备：
学生准备：搜集有关中国的常识，收集图片并了解其英文说法。
教师准备：教学卡片，录音机，中国地图，世界地图。
教学过程：
Step 1 Introduction:
1.小组展示并介绍自制方向标如：This is a map of China. This is north, this is south.
2.歌曲导入。播放“中华人民共和国国歌”导入新内容。
Step 2 New Concepts:
1.借助地图、地球仪，以师生对话的形式学习用英语表达首都、语言、地理位置、国旗。
2.学生两人一组，进行如下对话训练。
A: Where are you from?
B: I’m from China. Where are you from?
A: I’m from China, too.
B: Where is Jenny from?
A: She is from USA.
Step 3 Practices:
情景教学：设置了一个外国人来到中国，向中国的小朋友了解中国的情况，他们向远道而来的外国朋友介绍了自己的祖国。21世纪教育网版权所有
人物角色：一位外国人，若干名中国小学生。学具准备：需要一张中国地图、相关图片
要求：角色表演要以这些基本话题展开：介绍国家国旗、语言、首都、名胜。
语言表达精炼，流畅，有良好的语音语调，把握角色要到位，表演的形象、准确。
Step 4 Homework:
通过查阅资料，用英语介绍我国其他方面值得我们骄傲的东西。如：中国的其他名胜古迹万里长城、秦陵兵马俑、秦皇宫、颐和园等。21教育网
