3. 提供给学生一些彩纸、蜡笔和剪刀等，让学生说说他们打算用这些材料做些什么，还需要哪些材料。让学生分组讨论，在真实情景下运用语言。

然后，播放Learn the sounds的录音，请学生跟录音朗读单词。请学生完成Listen and circle的练习，然后核对答案。出示更多含有符合/e?/和/u?/发音规律的字母组合的单词，学生拼读。

3. 提供故事中的关键词，如craftsman, work, cut his finger, thought, looked carefully, sharp teeth, made, saw, tool等，让学生复述故事。然后指导学生完成Read a story的后续练习，让学生练习用一句话概括每段的大意，学习总结故事。
4. 安排学生两人一组，演出课本剧。

1. 教师可以与学生分享关于鲁班的其他发明的故事，也可以鼓励学生分享关于其他发明家的故事。
