1. 通过Listen and enjoy的儿歌,导入单元主题。
2. 通过Listen and say的情景对话,帮助学生复习Wh-questions和现在进行时,
谈论手工制作。
3. 通过Look and learn,帮助学生学习生词,复习同类词汇。
二、教学重难点(Teaching points and difficulties)
1. 词汇学习:scissors, tape, glue, model house
2. 句型复习:What do you want to make? I want to make a crown.
What are you making? I’m making a toy plane.

Pre-task preparations
1. 教师用各种Wh-questions向学生提问,请学生根据实际情况进行回答。

2. 播放Listen and enjoy的儿歌,然后请学生回答问题。
T: What does Alice have?

T: How did Ann make the pen holder?
S3: She made the pen holder with paper and a can.
T: What did Tony make?
S4: He made a doorknob.

While-task procedures
1. 请学生谈谈他们在手工课上需要些什么材料。
T: What do you need in a crafts class?
S1: We need some paper and some glue.
S2: We need a pair of scissors.
S3: We need some cardboard.

Pre-task preparations
1. 展示一些文具、手工课用具、美术材料的图片,跟学生进行单词游戏,巩固复习单词。
T: It’s long and thin. We can write and draw pictures with it. What is it?
S1: It’s a pencil.
T: No. It’s soft. Make another guess.
S2: It’s a brush.
T: That’s right. It’s hard and sharp. We can cut things with it. What is it?
S3: It’s a pair of scissors.
2. 展示一些手工作品,请学生自由交流,如果他们要制作其中一件手工作品,他们需要什么材料。
T: What do you need if you want to make a paper plane?
S1: We need a piece of paper.
S2: We need a pair of scissors.
S3: We need some glue.

While-task procedures
1. 展示本单元Make and say的图片,让学生看图,学习描述如何制作一个拼图。把关键词列出,让学生复述过程。
T: Let’s make a puzzle. What do we need?
S1: We need a piece of cardboard, a pair of scissors and some glue.
T: What do we do?
S2: First, we find a painting.

2. 让学生使用first, next, then, after that, finally等,把制作过程依照顺序复述一遍。
First, find a painting.
Next, find a piece of cardboard.
Then stick the painting onto the cardboard. After that, cut the picture into pieces.
Finally, do the puzzle.
3. 提供给学生一些彩纸、蜡笔和剪刀等,让学生说说他们打算用这些材料做些什么,还需要哪些材料。让学生分组讨论,在真实情景下运用语言。
S1: What do you want to make?
S2: I want to make a toy bird.
S3: Who is it for?
S4: It’s for my good friend.

4. 出示Learn the sounds里面的单词,请学生轻声朗读,找出发音规则,教师进行总|结。
air, ere, ear, are /e?/
ure, our, oor /u?/
然后,播放Learn the sounds的录音,请学生跟录音朗读单词。请学生完成Listen and circle的练习,然后核对答案。出示更多含有符合/e?/和/u?/发音规律的字母组合的单词,学生拼读。
/e?/ — chair, anywhere, pear, hare
/u?/ — pure, poor, moor, sure
Post-task activities
1. 让学生按下面的提示,完成一篇短文。
I am going to make … It’s for ... I need ...
First, ... Next, ... Then ...
2. 让学生和同桌交换自己所写的内容,互相批改。然后全班交流。

Pre-task preparations
1. 让学生跟着录音有节奏地朗读Listen and enjoy的儿歌,活跃课堂气氛。

2. 出示一些发明家的照片,与其所发明的东西配对,并跟学生讨论。
T: Who are they?
S1: They’re the Wright brothers.
T: What did they invent?
S2: They invented a flying machine/the plane.
T: Is it useful?
S3: Yes, it’s very useful.
While-task procedures
1. 教师收集并展示一些与鲁班有关的图片,如鲁班尺、云梯、石磨、墨斗、锯子、刨子、铲子、凿子、钥匙等,导入故事人物鲁班及生词tool。

2. 播放Read a story的录音或动画,让学生了解故事。通过以下问题帮助学生梳理故事内容。
1) Who was Lu Ban? (He was a craftsman.)
2) Where did he work? (He worked on a mountain.)
3) What happened to him? (A leaf cut his finger.)
4) How could such a small leaf hurt him? (There were many teeth on the leaf, and the teeth were sharp.)21·cn·jy·com
5) What did Lu Ban make? (He made a saw.)
3. 提供故事中的关键词,如craftsman, work, cut his finger, thought, looked carefully, sharp teeth, made, saw, tool等,让学生复述故事。然后指导学生完成Read a story的后续练习,让学生练习用一句话概括每段的大意,学习总结故事。
4. 安排学生两人一组,演出课本剧。
Post-task activities
1. 教师可以与学生分享关于鲁班的其他发明的故事,也可以鼓励学生分享关于其他发明家的故事。
2. 在前一课时留作业,完成《练习册》Task中的Stick or draw and write。在本课时把学生分为四人小组,大家互相展示自己的作业并问答,了解彼此的手工作品。可以通过一个范例提示学生问答使用一般过去时。21世纪教育网版权所有
