1. 猜谜游戏:猜猜我最喜欢的节日。先让每个学生在一张小纸条上写出自己最喜欢的节日、节前买东西的购物单和在节日期间准备做的事。如:
I usually visit my grandparents at the festival. But this year I will go to the park to climb the hill with them. I’m going to buy some flowers and traditional Chinese rice cakes for my grandparents. Guess what festival it is.
基础较好的学生可以如上书写,其他学生可以写词组,标题可以由教师给出。如:

2. 通过阅读故事《年的传说》,帮助学生培养阅读技能,了解“年”的由来。
3. 通过Think and write的写作练习,帮助学生运用已学句型介绍节日。
4. 通过学习任务(Task),帮助学生巩固和综合运用本单元所学的知识和技能,调查同学喜欢的节日,并介绍同学最喜欢的节日。

While-task procedures
1. 打乱Read a story故事的图片和文字顺序,让学生通过阅读按顺序排列图片和文字。然后全班一起核对答案,教师帮助学生理解故事中的生词。
2. 让学生读故事,然后根据课文内容向学生提问,以检测学生对故事的理解程度。
(1) What is Nian? (Nian is a monster.)
(2) What does Nian do at the end of every year? (He goes into the village and eats people.)
(3) What is Nian afraid of?(He is afraid of the colour red.)
(4) On the last day of the year, what does Nian see? (He sees red paper on the doors and windows. He also sees red firecrackers.)
(5) What does Nian do then? (He feels afraid and runs back into the hills.)
(6) What do the people do at the Spring Festival every year? (They use red things and light firecrackers.)
3. 学生读故事,填空完成课本第11页的反馈练习,然后全班一起核对答案。
4. 将全班学生分成若干个小组,各组根据故事写一个小剧本,然后分角色表演故事。
Post-task activities
1. 学生选择一个中国传统节日,填空完成Think and write的短文。请几名学生朗读他们的作文,学生可以互相点评。
2. 让学生根据《练习册》中Task第一部分的句型提示与同学交流,说说彼此最喜欢的节日,然后根据问答所得信息完成调查表。最后,作为回家作业,让学生完成Think and write,写一写同学最喜欢的节日。
