Pre-task preparations
1. 播放有关天气的儿歌,让学生欣赏。根据歌曲内容提问,复习已学的有关天气的词汇和句型。
2. 在黑板上贴出四季的图片,问学生喜欢哪个季节并说一说原因。让学生到黑板前的年历上圈出四季的月份,教师在相应的月份下面写出英语单词。
T: What’s your favourite season?
S1: Spring.
T: Why?
S1: It’s warm. I can fly a kite in spring.
While-task procedures
1. 出示Look and learn的月份单词卡片,让学生跟读并拼读。
T: (show the flashcard for January) January. J-A-N-U-A-R-Y, January.
Ss: January. J-A-N-U-A-R-Y, January.
2. 快速反应。教师时而出示图片,时而出示单词,时而读对,时而故意读错。如果学生觉得老师读对了就跟读,如果读错了就拍手并说出正确答案。把卡片贴在黑板上,教师说出单词,让学生从单词卡片选出相应的月份卡片。也可以玩配对游戏:把12张月份卡片和英语单词打乱顺序,让学生将单词和图片配对。
3. 再次出示四季的图片,让学生根据所在城市一年四季的情况,介绍四季的月份。教师可以先做示范。
T: The spring months are ...
S1: The summer months are ...
...
4. 出示12个月份的单词卡片和各种天气图片, 指着相应的图片与学生进行问答。

然后让学生抽取卡片,根据卡片结对问答。

Post-task activities
1. 把学生分成若干小组,让每个小组分别拿出12张纸。小组成员合作写出每个月份的英语名称,再把月份的中文名称写在单词下面。然后开展小组竞赛,教师说月份,学生举相应的卡片,举对一次得一分,最后得分最高的小组获胜。

While-task procedures
1. 出示Listen and say的四张图片,按顺序一一出示,向学生简单介绍对话背景,然后播放录音,让学生听录音,填写天气和月份,完成表格。

出示Look and read的电子邮件,学生划出不懂的地方,教师加以解释。根据电子邮件的内容向学生提问,学生口头回答。

T: Where do Amy’s family go on Christmas Day?

然后播放课文录音,让学生模仿朗读。
2. 让学生看Culture corner的图片,介绍澳大利亚的圣诞节气候。展示一些澳大利亚圣诞节的照片,边展示,边向学生介绍。
