(词汇课)
（1）学生能够听说认读单词thin, fat, tall, short
（2）学生能够听说认读句子It’s fat.
（3）学生能够用所学的单词thin，fat，tall，short及句子It’s fat 来描述日常生活中的人和事。
主要学习对对动物的描述。学生通过学习单词thin, fat, tall, short和句型It’s…使得学生能够描绘日常生活中见到的人或物。
新学的句子和单词描述）
（1）通过热身环节的Let’s chant, 让学生初步感知将要学习的形容词: fat, tall, short, 从而将学生带入英语学习氛围。
（2）通过提问复习上节课学习的内容：giraffe, bear, It’s so tall. It’s short and fat.
（3）通过提问的方式听录音学习词汇
(4) 通过作游戏习题巩固新授单词：thin，fat，tall，short

（语音课）
1. 能够通过听例词发音，观察例词结构中共有的特征，学习 i在闭音节中的发音/I//的规律；能够跟着录音说唱歌谣，强化记忆i的发音规则。
2. 能够根据i的发音规则读出生词。
3. 能够按照i的发音规则拼写出单词，进一步学习在四线三格中正确书写单词，并辨认词形。

1.在本节课的教学过程中要注重对学生语音方面的训练，对字母、音图及单词让学生养成自然拼读的习惯。
2.教学生认读单词时，不仅要培养学生的语音意识，还要注重学法指导，才能达到小学语音教学的教学目标。应尽量利用学生已经学过的单词，引导学生体验、感悟、总结归纳发音规律。
通过游戏活动，激发学生学习兴趣和自信心；通过小组活动，增强组员之间的团结协作。
让初学英语的人，借着认识字母及所代表的音源，从最基本的音与音的结合开始，反复练习以建立字母与发音的直觉音感，也就是平常所说的自然拼音法。让学生养成此习惯。
第四课时
Let’s talk
（ 对话课）
（1） 能够在图片和教师的帮助下理解对话大意。
（2） 能够朗读对话并能进行角色表演。
（3） 通过图片和教师讲解能够发挥想象力创造出属于自己的“怪物”，并简单描述其特点。
（1） 理解并运用重点句型：It has (a)…?描述动物的特征，并注意其运用的场合和语气。
（2）能听、说、认读单词 long short big small tail.
（1）首先通过Free talk和播放Let’s do 的热身活动，对知识进行复习巩固。
（2）通过教师去动物园来展示不同的动物，学生复习运用已经学过的句型和单词。（3）通过小组活动环节，锻炼学生的语言反应能力。（4）通过进行小组模仿秀，将所学语言运用在实际情境中，培养学生综合运用语言的能力。（5）通过小小设计师的活动发挥学生的想象力进行设计，在实际中运用所学句式进行交流。
唤起学生保护动物的意识。
学生通过观看图片唤醒他们对动物的保护意识。
第五课时

（词汇课）
学生能够在情景中运用所学词汇、句子描述动物的外貌和细节特征。
能够听说认读单词：small, big, short, long以及为帮助语篇自然生成的新增词汇：tail
学习并认读本课句型：It has a small head, and a short tail.
通过合作学习，让学生学会如何与他人合作，共同达成学习目标。
通过对本课时的学习，让学生要知道热爱动物，保护动物的意识。
