Step 2. Presentation
Lead in: Show the picture of butterfly.
Explain the new words.
Show some butterflies and ask students: are they beautiful? What do you know about them?
Read the lesson by themselves.
Explain the language points:
have been doing sth.:“一直在做某事”,表示从过去某时开始的某个动作或状态一直延续到现在,而且还在进行。表示动作的延续性、重复性以及感彩等。
draw one’s attention:“吸引某人的注意力”。

过去式和过去分词都是spent。
spend time/money(in) doing sth.
花费时间/金钱做某事

lay eggs : 产卵
lay的过去式和过去分词都是laying.
cut down: 砍伐
both... and...: ......和...... 用于连接两个并列成分。当它做主语时,谓语动词使用复数形式。
=not only... but(also)... 不仅......而且......
反义词组:neither... nor... 既不......也不......

Work in groups of three to play a game.
Task tips: Each group should prepare some pieces of paper and divide them into three columns. Student A writes a person’s name in the first column, folds the paper and passes it to Student B.
