1. Analysis of the Students
The students of Grade ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com" \o "欢迎登陆21世纪教育网 ) 9 have mastered certain vocabularies,expressions and structures. They also have the abilities of self-teaching and working in groups. Most of them are willing to express their opinions in English.
2. Analysis of Teaching Content
Lesson 57 is the third lesson in Unit 10, Book 5.This unit focus on the subject Get Ready for the Future, Students cares about the subject because it is close to everyone. Lesson 57 mainly talks about how to express their feeling when graduate. We can get the saying: Save the time, time is money!
【知识目标】
1. To master the words: wallet, owner, senior, junior.
2. To master the phrases: junior high, senior high.
【能力目标】
Improve the students’ ability of speaking, listening, reading and writing.
【情感目标】
To learn how to express their feeling when graduate.
【教学重点】
To master the words and phrases.
【教学难点】
To learn how to manage their time well. And talk about the problems, the way to manage their time and their plan in English.

Step 1. Warm-up
Elicit junior high school.
Free talk: What will you miss most about junior high school
Step 2. Presentation
Explain the new words.
Everyone has a lot of say at graduation. Listen to the tape and match the names with the sentences on page 151.
Check the answers.
Explain the language points:
good luck with用于表示祝愿,也可以说成 the best of luck。
e.g. Good luck with your study!
祝你学习进步!
in the future“在将来(的某时间)”;in future 相当于from now on,“从今以后”。
e.g. Our dream will come true in the future.
将来我们的梦想会实现的。
I am going to become a teacher, so I must study hard in future.
我打算将来当老师,所以今后必须努力学习。
sure可用作形容词,意为“肯定;有把握;确信”,其后可接从句,也可接of或about引起的短语。
e.g. I’m sure you’ll pass the exam.
我确信你会通过这场考试。
sure还可用作副词,意为“确实;的确”。
e.g. He sure looked happy yesterday.
他昨天的确看起来很高兴。
be sure to do sth. 意为“一定要 / 务必做某事”。
e.g. Be sure to come back before 8:00 pm.
你一定要下午八点前到。
make sure意为“确保”,其后常跟从句。
e.g. Make sure that you get to the school at 6 o’clock.
你要确保六点到学校。
I’ll never forget the time Danny tried to move to the next level by standing on a chair in the classroom.
我永远也不会忘记丹尼想升级的时候的情景—在教室里站在一把椅子上。
Danny tried to move to the next level … by standing on a chair in the classroom是time的定语从句,省略了引导词when。在the time / day / morning/ week / year … when结构中,引导词when通常可以省略;在the reason why结构中引导词why通常可以省略。
e.g. I always remember the day (when) we first met.
我总是记得我们第一次会面的情景。
The reason (why) he came to school late was that he didn’t catch the early bus.
他上学迟到的原因是他没有赶上早班公交车。
be confident that … 表示“肯定……”。
e.g. I am / feel confident that you will succeed.
我肯定你会成功。
wish后接双宾语,best用作名词,意思是“最好的人(物);最佳部分”。
e.g. I demand the best of any dress I buy!
我要买质量最好的连衣裙。
Lisa is the best in our class.
丽莎是我们班最优秀的学生。
You haven’t heard the best.
最精彩的部分你还没听到呢。
Step 3. Practice
Listen and follow to the tape.
Listen to more graduation message and fill in the blanks on page 151.
Check the answers.
Practice the lesson in groups.
Group work: Imagine you will say goodbye now, make a dialogue with your partner.
Act it out.
Step 4. Consolidation

Writing: What would you like to say to your classmates, friends or teachers
