Step1: Revision
Review some important words and expressions related to the main article.

Review the important words and phrases and lay a solid foundation for this class.
Step2: Warming-up and leading-in
Let the students watch a video about themselves and try to describe their classmates.

Give the students a surprise, arouse the students’ learning interest, and pay attention to the features of their classmates.
Step3: Pre-listening
Discussion:
(1)Let the students describe the person in the given pictures by using the learnt words and phrases.
(2)Conclude the words and expressions used to describe people.
Predicting information
(1)Let the students read the content of the listening part and guess the missing words.
(2)Let the students look at the picture of the listening part and guess who are Sara’s uncle and aunt.
Learn the listening skills:

Step4: While-listening
Listening for important words and phrases.
Listen to the tape and write down the important words and expressions quickly.

Let the students work in pairs to fill in the blanks.(One read a short passage and the other fill in the blanks. They get different blanks)
