Teaching process:
Step1: Lead-in
1. Warm-up by free talk
2.呈现Happy Camp(快乐大本营)Where are we going, Dad (爸爸去哪儿?)and Running man (奔跑吧, 兄弟!)三个学生热衷的TV shows,导出学生所关心的生活中的名人(famous people)进而引出标题—Talk about people around us.
Step2:阅读Getting ready 板块的图文了解单元话题。 学生观察教材第一页的卡通图,朗读Hi和Lo之间富有幽默的对话,教师检验学生对单词star及相关习语的理解。教师引导学生挖掘自己身边除名星外,值得尊敬和爱戴的人,揭示本单元话题。
Step3:就“我们身边的人”开展“头脑风暴”。
1.屏幕上呈现:They are cheerful/ patient/hard-working/smart.这些含有新词汇的描述人物的句子,让学生初步认读和感知单cheerful, hard-working, patient和smart.然后通过小组比赛的形式谈论周围的人—同学、老师、家人和朋友,教师将学生用到的那些形容词集中写在黑板上。
2.板书时可以引导学生将提到的形容词进行分类,如形容外貌的、性格的、品德的等等,为教学目标的达成做铺垫。
3.学生完成What do you know about… 部分的选词填空练习,近一步理解和运用单词cheerful, hard-working, patient和smart.
4.学生通过对话进一步练习单词。对于程度较好的学生,可适当拓展词汇,帮助他们丰富语言表达。 eg : S1: What do you think of Tom S2: He is very smart. S1: Why do you think so S2: Because he can always answer the teacher’s questions correctly.
Step4: 预测主阅读长篇的大致内容。 呈现教材第3页上的三张图片,学生尝试预测本单元将谈论的话题,并完成Before you read部分的选择练习。认读和理解单词cheerful和probably。 Step5: 运用找读策略,进一步理解主阅读篇章。
1.学生通过找读三篇短文的具体内容,独立完成Comprehension D1的练习。认读和理解单词encourage。
2.学生运用通过上下文猜测词义的策略,完成Vocabulary C1的近义词选择练习。认读和理解单词cheerful, forget, remain, encourage以及短语give up 和 take care of。
Step6: 跟录音朗读课文。
1.学生模仿录音中的语音、语调,进一步加强对课文整体的认知。
2.学生以两人对话形式完成Vocabulary C2的选择填空练习,并分角色朗读对话。认读和理解单词miss, successful以及短语(be)strict about。
Step7: Summary 本节课我们
学习了单词cheerful,hard-working,patient,smart ,probably,encourage,forget,remain,miss,successful,support,以及短语give up, take care of, be strict about等。
了解了从外貌、性格、行为和品德角度描述人物的一般方法。
