一、教学目标
1. 能够听懂、会说以下单词:inventor, artist, scientist, poet, writer, American, French, Danish, poem, paint,并尝试借助拼读规律记忆单词。
2. 能使用之前学习过的句子进行对话,操练本单元的主要词汇。
3. 能根据语境从上述单词中选择恰当的词或短语填空。
二、教学建议
A. Listen and number.
1. 准备活动
(1) 教师请学生说出自己喜欢的名人。
(2) 教师创设语境:We know many famous people. There is a museum of famous people. Let’s go and have a look. 教师把五幅名人海报张贴在黑板上。
(3) 教师带领学生运用已学过的语言讨论五幅图画,初步感知文本。
T: Who is he?
Ss: He is Li Bai.
T: Li Bai was Chinese. What did he do?
Ss: He was a poet.

Tip:教师让学生感知五位名人,尤其是三位外国名人的名字。
2. 听力活动
(1) 呈现新知
教师请学生观察Get Ready图,教师说:Joy, Lily, Andy, Bill and their teacher come to the museum of famous people, too. Let’s listen what they are talking about.教师播放两遍录音,请学生根据录音内容排序,之后同伴互查。
(2) 学习新知
教师请学生再次观察Get Ready图,并在核对答案的同时,学习九个目标词汇。
Tip:1. 教师可以让学生说一说自己所了解的其他名人,以此巩固目标词汇,如教师说:Anderson was a famous writer. Who else was a famous writer? 然后引导学生说:Laoshe was a famous writer.
2. 教师出示四个国家的国旗:China, the USA,France, Demark,让学生对比学习国家和国籍的不同。教师说:Laoshe was from China. He was Chinese.
(3) 操练新知
教师再次播放录音,请学生跟读。
B. Let’s talk.
1. 教师带领学生观察Get Ready图,模仿书中句型说一说。
2. 教师和一名学生示范对话,并适时呈现和教授paint一词。
3. 学生结对,任选黑板上两位名人中的一位,模仿B项中的对话内容进行练习。之后教师请三对学生到讲台前汇报。21教育网
C. Let’s write.
1. 教师示范:Today, we have learned about five famous people. I like Thomas Edison best. I want to write something about him. This is Thomas Edison. He was American. He was an inventor. He was good at inventing things. (教师把这四句话呈现在PPT上,把invent一词后面的ing描红)21cnjy.com
2. 学生模仿教师的介绍完成李白和徐悲鸿的人物介绍。
3. 学生汇报自己的人物介绍作品。
