讲授新课 呈现动物园图片，创设动物园情境，让学生在情境中学习。Miss White,Zhang Peng and Amy go to the zoo.1.看图说出不同之处两只猴子的区别？Look at that monkey. It’s fat!板书，领读fat.Look at this monkey. It’s thin..板书，领读thin.2.两只长颈鹿的区别？Look at this giraffe. It’s tall..板书，领读tall.Look at that giraffe. It’s short!板书，领读short.3.播放Let's learn部分录音，全班跟读；然后分组、分男女生、分角色朗读课文。 肢体演示（让学生动起来，融入到动脑、动口 、动手的英语学习中——认读运用） 以上四个单词的学习都是采取对比引入，运用图片创景（为学生提供真实的语言环境）—
1.Game:What’s missing 2.Game:唱反调规则：教师说出一个单词，学生说出它的反义词。如：教师说tall，学生说short。3.活动：听一听，猜一猜活动方式：教师藏起一张动物的图片，让学生根据教师的描述，猜一猜是什么动物，在活动过程中，学生可以随时猜，直到猜对为止，猜对的学生给予奖励。如教师藏起一张小猴的图片：4.Look and say.5.Pair work学生同桌合作，挑选一种动物，然后画出这个动物 tall，short，fat，thin 的四种形态，以便有对比地学习这两对反义词。然后要求学生结合课本中的对话，替换对话中的关键词编写新对话 。(A: Look at this … B: It’s …) 最后教师请两三对学生上讲台展示自己的作品，并表演对话。教师对表现优秀的学生进行表扬。6.Let’s chant7.Group work老师请一名学生上台，悄悄对他/她说单词 fat，all，short 或 thin。该学生做动作（鼓励学生用自己的动作表演，不一定要和课本一样），其他学生猜单词。学生用 It’s + adj. 的句型表达出来。（教师要在学生对话间纠正学生的读音和语气。） 说一说这些动物的特征 学生在强化训练中，增强对词汇的理解与运用，训练学生的思想反应能力，同时他们不服输的个性得到彰显，竞争意识得到增强,将本节课教学推向高潮。
