T: You’re right.
(Ask the students to read “often” loudly)

T: I want to know more about you. We can discuss it after class. But first let’s talk about Amy and Lingling. Watch the video of Activity 1 and tell me: What are Amy and Lingling doing

Step 2 Presentation
课文教学。
(1) After watching the video of Activity l, the students will know Amy and Lingling are looking at the photos.
(2) Watch the video of Activity 2 the first time.

活动1: Complete the text with the missing words.
Lingling and Amy are looking at the photos. In Picture 1. She is playing with dolls. But she stopped a long time ago. In Picture 2, she is reading books. She often reads stories. In Picture 3, she is cleaning her room. But she doesn’t clean her room very often. Lingling often cleans her room.
【设计思路】熟读课文,以各种方式朗读课文内容并复述。
活动2:
学生四人一小组开展小记者调查活动,调查同学们周末经常做的事情,需要用到Do you often.. 并将调查的结果整理出来,由小组派代表到台上跟大家分享,例如 S1 often cleans her room on Sundays, but S2 doesn’t S3 often plays computer games on the weekends. S4 often reads books on Saturdays and he often has English class on Sundays.
【设计思路】本环节设计了两个活动,使学生在合作探究中完成学习任务,运用所学的新知识。另外,本节课让学生能将同学的周末活动口述出来,为下节课的写作做铺垫。
