Tony: I don’t know. Let’s listen to the news on the radio and find out.
News reporter: We’ve just had some news about the trip to Mars. The spaceship has reached Mars after a journey of eight months. It hasn’t sent back any messages yet, but scientists are waiting. As we know, there isn’t any life on the moon, but scientists hope
to find life on Mars and other planets.

1. up to 的用法
What are you up to 你在做什么呢？
up to 表示“正在干，从事着”。常用
在非正式常合中。
e.g. What’s he up to with all those books on the floor
What were you up to yesterday You didn’t answer my phone.

2. just 的用法
I’ve just made this model of the space station.
这是我刚做的宇宙空间站的模型。
just常用在现在完成时的肯定句中，常放在助动词have/has后面。
e.g. We’ve just watched the film.
我们刚看了电影。
3. yet 的用法
I haven’t started it yet.
我还没有开始做呢。
yet表示“还（末）”，常用在现在完成时的否定句中，通常放在句末。
e.g. We haven’t finished our homework yet.
我们还没有完成作业。
4. latest 的用法
Have you heard the latest news
你听说过这个最新消息吗？
latest adj.最近的；最新的
e.g. The news is all about the latest meeting.
这条消息是关于最近的会议的。
5. already的用法
Astronauts have already been to the moon. 宇航员已经去过月球了。
already表示“已经”，常放在have/ has之后，通常用于肯定句中。
e.g. Jack has already finished his homework.
have/ has been to表示曾经去过某地，但现在已经回到他的生活所在地。
e.g. They’ve already been to Suzhou twice.
他们已经去过苏州两次了。
6. reach, arrive和get的用法
（1）reach到达,抵达;及物动词，后面可以直接加宾语。
eg:Finally we reached the top of the mountain. 最终我们到达了山顶。
(2)arrive不及物动词，后接宾语时要加介词in(大地点)或at(小地点)。
eg:I arrived in Beijing last night. 我昨天晚上到达了北京。
(3)get作“到达”讲，后接宾语时要加介词to。
eg:When did you get to the park 你什么时候到公园的？
注意：当arrive, get后接表示地点的副词，如here, there, home等时，则不用介词，即arrive/get＋地点副词。
7. invent, find与discover的用法

invent, find与discover的区别：
① invent意为“发明”，指经过认识和实践创造出前所未有的事物；
② find意为“发现，找到”，指对某种事物的寻求，也指找到（丢失的事物）；
③ discover表示“偶然或经过努力发现客观存在的事物、真理或错误” 。
