一、教学目标 -
(一) 语言目标
1. 词汇：能听懂、会说、会读 can, help, old people, make them happy, clean their homes, carry things；能理解、会说Ms, free, take … to, enjoy themselves.
2. 句型：能运用“I can help them./I can ...”表达自己能为他人提供的帮助。
(二) 应用目标
1. 能在情境中运用句型“I can...”正确表达自己能为他人提供的帮助。
2. 能阅读和理解课文D部分的小故事。
3. 能根据课文大意回答问题。
二、教学重、难点
1. 重点：能在情境中运用句型“I can ...”表达能提供的帮助；能阅读和理解课文D部分的小故事。21教育网
2. 难点：能运用“help sb. (to)do sth.”的表达方式;能完成D部分的练习。
三、教学准备
人物头饰、单词卡片、课文录音、教学光盘，课本图片等 (有条件的学校可利用幻灯片、多媒体课件)。
四、教学过程
Step 1 热身/复习(Warm-up/Revision)
1. Greetings
2. Let’s chant
I can help the old. I can help the old.
What can I do? I can clean their homes.
What can T do? I can help them on the road.
What can I do? I can sing and talk.
What about you? What can you do?
3. Game: Say and do
5名学生戴上Jane, Lingling, Peter, Anne 和 Mingming 的头饰上台，教师随意叫一个角色的名字，被叫到名字的人要边说句子“I can ...”边做出相应动作。
T: Jane says, Jane says.
S1: I can make coffee! (做咖啡的动作) Lingling says, Lingling says.
S2: 1 can make cakes! (做蛋糕的动作) Peter says, Peter says.21·cn·jy·com
Teaching Tips ：
① 可以把Jane, Lingling等改成学生自己的名字。
② 可以将更多的词组用到句子中。
Step 2 新课呈现(Presentation)
1. Part C: Let’s practise
以课文C部分为内容进行分角色表演。
(1) Listen and repeat
听音，跟读。用图片和动作引导学生理解go on or off the bus和carry things.
(2) Read and act
S1: Let’s help the old people. I can ...
S2: What can I do? I can ...
S3: I can help them to ...
S4: We can help them …
(3) Make sentences
教师板书“I can make/help them ...”，鼓励学生说出更多的句子。
2. Part D：Let’s read
第一步：Head and circle
快速阅读，不出声，圈出表示who, where的单同或短语。
第二步：Read and answer
再次快速阅读短文，回答问题。
(1) Who does Ms Li help?
(2) How does Ms Li feel?
第二步：Read and write
(1) Ms Li ______to help the old people when she is______. She ______them to the park _______their homes.21世纪教育网

第四步：Read and take notes.
仔细阅读短文，画出答案。

Step 3 趣味操练(Practice)
1. What can you do?
教师准备一些卡片，上面写着物品的单词，如：book, broom, tea, cake, phone等。然后将全班分为两组，甲组第一名学生抽一张卡，向乙组第一名学生提问，如抽到的卡片上是 book,甲组第一名学生可以问“What can you do for the old people?”，乙组第一名学生可答“I can read a story for them.”。答不出来或答错的扣一分。然后由乙组第一名学生抽卡片并向甲组第二名学生提问。游戏依次进行下去，最后扣分少的组为优胜。2·1·c·n·j·y
2. Game: Happy passing
全班分成几组，每组第一名学生看教师给出的句子，句子为本课A部分内容。游戏开始后，学生小声把看到的句子读给下一名学生听，依次传递下去，最后一名学生大声说出句子。说得有准确又快的一组获胜。【21·世纪·教育·网】
Step 4 作业布置(Homework)
1. 听一听，背一背：听磁带，背诵A部分内容。
2. 做一做：选择你喜欢的方式，给爷爷奶奶、外公外婆送上关爱。
