一、教学目标
(一) 语言目标
1. 词汇：能听懂、会说、会读新词汇hearty, pudding, roast。
2. 句型：能运用“ Here’s a ... for you.”的句型互赠礼物。
3. 语篇：能理解D部分短文并回答问题。
(二) 应用目标
1. 能在适当的情境下运用句型“Here’s a ... for you.”。
2. 能与同伴表演课文C部分对话。
3. 能在插图的帮助下阅读和理解课文D部分的小故事并回答问题。
二、教学重、难点
1. 重点：能运用句型“Here’s a ... for you”。
2. 难点：理解D部分短文并回答问题。
三、教学准备
用于新授单词的阁片、圣诞树、圣诞帽、圣诞袜、礼物、单词卡片、课本图片、教学VCD等(有条件的学校可利用幻灯片、多媒体课件) 。
四、教学过程
Step 1 热身/复习(Warm-up/Revision)
1. Greetings
2. Sing a song: Do-Re-Mi
3. Revision: Quick Response
出示图片或单词卡片复习B部分词汇。
4. Free talk谈论节日以及习俗。
Step 2 新课呈现(Presentation)
1. 操练句型“Here’s a … for you.”
T：(戴上圣诞帽，扮演圣诞老人，将准备好的礼物送给学生) The Christmas Day is coming. Here are some presents for you!
T: Here is an eraser for you, Peter/…
Peter/…: Thank you.
T: Did you prepare presents for your friends? Now let’s give presents to each other. (学生互赠礼物)
S1: Hi, Amy. Merry Christmas!
S2: Merry Christmas to you, too!
S1: Here’s a present for you.
S2: Thank you. Here’s one for you，too.
2. Chain Response.运用句型“Here’s a ... for you”说句子，不能重复说过的句子。
S1: Here’s a ruler for you.
S2: Here’s a pencil for you.
…
3. Part D: Let’s read
第一步：Read and answer快速阅读，回答问题：Whose family celebrates Christmas in the text?
第二步：Read and circle精读，圈出不理解的单词，并回答问题：
What does Peter’s family do before Christmas?
What do they do on Christmas Day?
What do they eat for the Christmas dinner?
第三步：Check the answers and solve the problems 检查答案，解答难点。
预测难点：
“They enjoy a hearty dinner.” means “They have a big and delicious dinner.”
用图片或课件展示roast turkey(烤火鸡) , ham(火腿) , pudding (布丁), 帮助学生理解词语。
第四步：Repeat and read together跟读、齐读课文。
第五步：Group work小组讨论。How do you celebrate Christmas? Talk about it in groups.
Step 3 趣味操练(Practice)
1. 分组情境表演。
情境：a birthday party, New Year’s Day, the Spring Festival, the Children’s Day, Christmas Day。学生互相问候、互赠礼物。
2. 小组讨论，然后逐条写下有关圣诞节及春节的习俗。(上节课已布置作业：通过不同渠道了解圣诞节和春节的来历以及习俗。)
Step 4 作业布置(Homework)
1. 听一听，读一读：听、读C、D部分。
2. 演一演：与你的小伙伴一起表演C部分对话。
3. 自由搜集有关圣诞节的知识，准备一个英文节目，为下一课时的“圣诞晚会”做准备。
