一、教学目标
(一) 语言目标
1. 词汇:能听懂、会说、会读、会写新单词和短语Christmas, colourful, decorate, dress up, light, merry,receive, Santa Claus。21*cnjy*com
2. 句型:能听懂、会说、会读、会运用“Here’s a … for you.”。
(二) 应用目标
1. 能听懂、会读A部分课文。
2. 培养和提高学生的阅读理解能力、猜词能力。
3. 了解西方传统节日——圣诞节,渗透中西方节日文化的教育,培养学生跨文化交际的意识,激发学生的学习兴趣。【21教育】
二、教学重、难点
1. 重点:能听懂、会说、会读、会写新单词和短语Christmas, colourful , decorate, dress up, light, merry, receive, Santa Claus; 通过阅读,学生能在课文中找到有关圣诞节习俗的信息。
2. 难点:长句的朗读要根据意群进行适当的停顿。如:
Anne and her mother/decorate their Christmas tree/with colourful balls and lights.
三、教学准备
用于新授单词的图片、圣诞树、圣诞帽、圣诞袜、礼物、单词卡片、课本图片、教学VCD等(有条件的学校可利用幻灯片、 多媒体课件) 。

教师用课件快速闪现单词及图片,复习与节日相关的词汇,学生决速抢答:firecrackers, red packet, lion dance,a family reunion dinner, eve of the Spring Festival, Children’s Day, Mother’s Day, Mid-Autumn Festival, mooncake, nuts, lotus seed, red bean, gift, rose, a box of chocolates。
Guess, guess, guess: What festival is it? 教师用课件出示与春节、中秋节等节日相关的图片或音乐,请学生猜一猜是什么节日。

Teaching Tips :
英语日期的表达与汉语不同。英语表达的顺序为“月、日、年”,因此2012年11月8日就可写成November 8th, 2012,还可表示为November eighth, 2012。另外,也可写成“日、月、年”,8th November, 2012 即 the eighth of November, 2012。
