Teaching content: Section A 1a-2c
Step 1: Greeting
Step 2: Warming up.
Present the structure of last lesson.
show some pictures , make conversations with the students by using
“What is he /she doing …?She / He is …”to lead into 2a and 2b. Revise the present continuous tense , then show a card about 3a, ask students to finish the exercises in this part. Help them to feel the present continuous tense.
Step 3: Practice. Ask the students to make conversations to practice 3a.
Step 4 Listening : Listen to the tape again ,ask students to find out the words which describe the weather. Lead into the next topic .
Step 5.Check the result of pre-view.
Ask two students to read the new words on the board and the other students read after one of them. Help them
Step 6: Present the new lesson .
1) Show some pictures of different weather, learn the new words and sentence pattern by talking about the pictures . During the class, make conversations between the teacher and the students, students and students .
2)Show some pictures about some beautiful cities: Beijing, Shanghai, Boston , Moscow , and Toronto. Show the pictures in 1a, ask students to find out the right pictures , then finish 1b.
Step 7: Pair work.
Lead the students to look at their books 1c, help them to make a phone call.
First revise how to make a phone call, then show them a model, ask them to talk on the phone like the model by using the pictures in 1a.
Step 8. Summarize :
Ask students to think about what we learned in this class. Encourage them to catch the time to answer the questions.
Step9. Exercises
Because I divided the class into two parts, we went on learning the present continuous tense and we learned to talk about the weather correctly, in this part, I prepared some exercises to help students to master them.
Step10. Homework.
Remember the new words and expressions in this lesson
Watch the weather forecast to write a short weather forecast.

教学成败得失及改进设想：
本节课是一节听说课，主要是学习谈论天气和继续学习现在进行时，教学中我将学习的顺序进行调整，更自然的导入到所学知识之中，在教学设计了几组pair work, 给学生更多的说的机会，让学生在对话练习中体会英语的交际功能，让学生真正做到学以致用，本单元所学知识点，均贴近生活，学生的学习氛围相当浓厚，从学生的整体学习情况而言，达到了预期的教学效果，圆满完成了本单元的教学任务。
