Unit7 What’s the highest mountain in the word?
Section A 3a-3c

本 节 课 是Section A的 第 二 课 时 , 阅 读 部 分(Qomolangma-the Most Dangerous Mountain in the
world?),语篇围绕攀登珠穆朗玛峰的危险性展开,很容易引起学生的兴趣并激发学生去了解更多关于登山的知识, 体会登山者无畏攀登,执着向上的精神信念,及挑战自我的精神。现将反思总结如下:
一、本节课设计的各项活动要求学生能够通过快速阅读
找到关键词,在理解所读内容的基础上借助关键词总结文段大意,最后能够在关键词的帮助下用自己的话复述文段。通过阅读技能的训练,学生能进一步学习和巩固形容词及副词最高级的一些用法结构。
二、在学生读过程中,采用限时阅读的方法,促使学生积极寻找提高速度的阅读技巧,让学生学会如何了解文章大意,理清文章思路,把握文章思想。同时做好课内阅读到课外阅读的延伸,从始至终我一直注重对学生进行人文教育。
三、学生们完成了课本上的阅读任务后,我没有就此打住,而是又提出一些较深层次的问题供学生思考,如在challenge 3环节,在学生完成了任务后,继续引导学生关注如果我们想挑战珠峰需要做什么准备?学生们积极思考,各抒己见,踊跃回答,得出了“未雨绸缪”和“只有服从自然才能征服自然”的结论。对于各种答案,我并没有马上给予肯定或否认,而是引导学生自我探究,以提升学生的综合运用能力。同学们不仅理解了课文的内涵,还认识到了做人必须要勇往直前的人生哲理,教师又何乐而不为呢。
四、小组活动中设计的合作任务不是很明确,导致学生在发表观点的时候有些被限制了,所以讨论的内容比较单一。其实小组合作的问题设计可以更具体更开放一些,这样学生发挥的空间就可以更大一些。活动的设计旨在让学生结合所学的内容进行流畅的语言输出,所以设计的时候还是要多站在学生的立场上考虑问题,设计问题。阅读课并不是一味地读,读得天昏地暗忘乎所以,那不是成功的阅读课,那样恐怕培养出来的只是不折不扣的“书呆子”。学而不思则罔,思而不学则殆。阅读是一个输入的过程,思考在转化,只有思考才能将阅读中的营养吸收,是至关重要的一环。所以今后的阅读课教学中,还要时刻考虑到问题的设计和环节的设计关注学生,多多引发学生思考

学习目标:
通过本节课的学习,同学们能:1.在阅读Qomolangma 活动中,认读、理解新词汇:achievement, southwestern, thick, include, freezing, condition, succeed, challenge, achieve, force, nature, take in air, in the face of, even though(even if), 并运用他们谈论Qomolangma。
在Qomolangma阅读活动中通过看图和标题猜测文章主题,速读获取段落大意、分段定位细读获取细节信息等阅读策略,理解并综合运用比较级和最高级等谈论Qomolangma 的相关信息。
加深对Qomolangma的了解,培养面对困难勇于挑战,永不放弃的精神。

1. 学习重点:掌握重点单词,短语,阅读技巧。
2. 学习难点:掌握借用关键字概括文章中心及在段落中抓细节的阅读技巧。

【设计意图】引导学生对Qomolangma相关知识进行头脑风暴,激发学生思维。播放视频后在真实的交流中激发学生的表达探索欲望,激发学习兴趣。
【德育】通过视频播放,学生可以初步体会到祖国山色壮美。同时也让学生在阅读文章之前可以对Qomolangma进行想象,加深记忆。

Reading skill--Skimming(跳读): usually we can find the main idea of the paragragh in the first or the last sentence,seldom in the middle . But sometimes it must be generalized (总结).
