现代教学强调以学生为主体，采用启发示教学，运用多种教学方法和手段，充分调动学生的积极性，培养学生的实践能力和自学能力。在这节课的教学中，我通过创设各种语言环境，让学生在轻松的环境中掌握知识，运用知识，做到寓教于乐。整节课中，师生、生生之间配合默契和谐。本课教学目标明确，师生对话，生生两两对话，无一不是围绕目标语言展开的，最后上升到能力训练，学生能用目标语言谈论他人的过去经历。本节课体现了由易到难，循序渐进的规律，同时也体现了“以学生为主体，教师为主导，思维训练为主线”的教学指导思想。 此外本课还通过教学活动，激发学生各方面的情感，包括热爱祖国的名胜古迹，欣赏祖国的大好山河。由于课堂时间有限，不是所有的学生都有机会运用英语进行现场交际，这是本堂课的遗憾的地方。
