帮助学生阅读故事《小蝌蚪找妈妈》 。引导学生通过阅读活动抓住关键信息、了解故事大意。
通过学习任务(Task),帮助学生巩固和综合运用本单元所学的知识和技能。

句型:He was…和He is…的区别运用。
His…was/were…和His ... is/are…的区别运用。

四、教学过程(Teaching process)
Pre-task preparations
1. 播放与本单元话题相关的儿歌(见“参考资料”)并出示第一组图片(毛毛虫和蝴蝶),让学生跟读儿歌。
Ss: Once I was a caterpillar,
Sitting on a leaf.
But now I am a butterfly,
…
提问激发学生兴趣后,播放儿歌第二段的录音并出示第二组图片(婴儿和男孩),请学生再听,边听边模仿跟读。
2. 和学生讨论有关故事的话题,引出将要学习的Read a story栏目的故事。

出示Read a story的挂图,通过提问引导学生观察图片并引出故事。
What season was it? (It was spring.)
What was in the river? (There was a tadpole in the river. His name’s Little Justin.)
What colour was Little Justin? (He was black.)
…
T: Little Justin was unhappy because he couldn’t find his mother. 教师接着提问帮助学生一起预测小蝌蚪找妈 妈的故事情节发展,激发学生的想象力和阅读故事的兴趣。
Can Little Justin find his mother? (Yes./No.)
Who was Little Justin’s mother? (The fish./ The turtle./The frog./…)
Where did his mother live? (In the river/ lake/pond/sea/...)
2. 让学生读图片1的故事,然后教师提问,检测学生是否读懂。
What season was it? (It was spring.)
Who was born in the river? (Little Justin was born in the river.)
Was he big? (No. He was small.)
What colour was he? (He was black.)
What did he say? (He said, “Mum,where are you?”)
播放录音,要求学生仔细听,认真模仿,注意语音语调。
出示图片2和3,首先要求学生四人一组看图提问,鼓励学生仔细观察图片,教师在各组巡视,如果学生有需要则及时给予帮助。

S3: What did his mother look like? 然后播放录音并要求学生模仿跟读,接着全
班分成两组,分别扮演Little Justin和Fish/ Turtle,教师做旁白,全班一起有感情地朗读。最后完整播放录音,全班分角色朗读。
让学生完成Read a story的后续练习,然后核对答案。还可以让学生研究小蝌蚪的成长过程,填空完成下面的短文。
Little Justin
It was spring. Little Justin was small and black.
Soon he had a round head and a long tail.
Summer came. Little Justin was green. He had four legs and no tail.
Post-task activities
1. 让学生按照Little Justin、Mum和旁白三个角色分组,续编故事,编好后分组表演,教师巡视并帮助有需要的学生。
2. 请学生看《练习册》Task的第一部分,根据需要提供的信息找出自己的照片,贴在方框里,并写上拍照时的年龄。然后和同学问答,在第二部分的表格中填入相关信息,如姓名、年龄和拍照地点等。
S1: Where were you?
S2: I was in Beijing.
S1: How old were you?
S2: I was three years old.
最后,让学生根据问答获得的信息完成第三部分的练习,描述一个同学的照片,并简单写一写自己的感想。
