一、教学目标(Teaching aims)
帮助学生学习Look and learn中的生词。
通过Listen and say关于树的重要性的对话,帮助学生掌握核心句型We get… from ...和We use ... to …。
让学生操练核心句型,引导学生初步运用核心句型问答。
二、教学重难点(Teaching points and difficulties)
词汇:wood, cool
句型:We get wood from trees.
We use wood to make pencils.
日常用语:That’s wonderful!

课件、音频。
四、教学过程(Teaching process)
Pre-task preparations
1.出示两组图片,即木头、羊毛、棉花、金属、 玻璃和树木、绵羊、棉花植物、土壤、沙,让 学生找出两组物质之间的联系,将图片配对。例如:
2. 出示两组单词: wood、metal、glass、wool、cotton 和earth、sheep、trees、sand、plant, 朗读以下内容:
We get wood from trees. We get metal from the ground. We get class from sheep.
We get wool from sheep. We get cotton from plants.
让学生根据听到的内容,将两组单词配对连
Wood sheep

1. 出示Listen and say的图片,提问What do we get from trees? 自答并板书句型:We get wood from trees.学生齐读单词wood,然后齐读句型。
2. 播放课本Listen and say的录音,学生跟读,齐读。
3. 根据课本Listen and say的内容提问,学生回答。然后让学生做反馈练习,完成海报。

What do we use wood for? (We use wood to make pencils, desks, chairs and paper.)
4. 对子活动。提问:What do we use wood for? 学生结对讨论。将学生交流、讨论的结果写在黑板上。

S4: We use wood to make paper too.
Post-task activities
1. 出示一些来自大自然的原材料的图片,如树、沙子等,提出问题:What do we get from the environment? What do we use wood/metal/ glass/wool/cotton for? 要求学生展开讨论。
2. 出示下面的资料,让学生四人一组,用句型What do we use …for? We use …to…展开讨论并填写各种材料的用途,然后全班交流。

通过Read a story的故事阅读,帮助学生进一步理解核心句型的用法。
二、教学重难点(Teaching points and difficulties)
词汇:miss, match, have to, cut... down, look for
句型:They used the wood to make matches.
三、教学准备(Teaching preparation)
课件、音频。
四、教学过程(Teaching process)
Pre-task preparations
1. 复习句型 What do we get from trees? We get wood from trees.教师提问,学生回答。
2.提问What do we use wood for? 学生用核心句型We use wood to…回答。将学生的回答列在黑板上。

根据上一活动的板书作总结。
T: We can use wood to make desks, chairs and many other things. We get wood from trees. Trees are very important.
然后出示Read a story的挂图,让学生带着
问题阅读故事,并找出答案,划出相关句子。
Who’s the bird’s friend? (Mr Tree.)
What did the workers do to the tree?
(They cut him down.)
学生阅读故事之后回答问题,检测他们对故事的理解程度。
T: Who’s the bird’s friend?
S1: Mr Tree is the bird’s friend.
T: What did the workers do to the tree?
S2: They cut him down and took him to a factory.
…
T: What does the girl use the match for?
S1: She uses it to make a fire.
然后出示故事图片,结合课本中的句型,帮助学生理解 cut down, have to, look for 等词组的含义,随后教师板书词组,学生齐读。
3. 学生四人一组开展活动。分发给每组学生六个剪成条状的语段和六张课本插图,先要求组内学生将语段与相应的插图进行配对。然后播放课文录音,要求组内学生根据录音内容,给语段、插图排序,随后核对答案。
4. 学生做反馈练习,填空完成短文。然后播放 Read a story的录音,学生跟读课文。
Post-task activities
1. 学生根据关键词提示复述小鸟和树的故事。然后引导学生讨论故事中树的经历,讨论人与树、人与自然的关系。

通过Think and say的活动,帮助学生巩固运用本单元的核心句型。
通过Culture comer的活动,帮助学生了解植树节。
通过学习任务(Task),帮助学生巩固和综合运用本单元所学的知识和技能。

Pre-task preparations
提问what do we get from trees? What do we use wood for? 让学生思考并回答。
2. 用多媒体动画展不一棵树的成长过程和树的用途,要求学生围绕Trees are very important.发表看法,或与同桌交流。
While-task procedures
1. 学生四人一组,根据Think and say的图片和范例展开讨论,说一说木头的用途。然后各组派一名代表作口头报告。
出示下列图片和单词,让学生选词填空完成句子,然后核对答案。

让学生看四张图中的第一张和第四张,仔细观察两棵树的表情有何变化,两人一组展开讨论。

教作总结:善待自然,不滥伐树木。
3. 出示Culture corner的图片,或用多媒体展示中国和澳大利亚植树节的活动照片,让学生说一说他们在植树节当天通常会做什么。课前让学生先调查哪些国家有植树节,具体日期是什么时候,在课堂上请学生展示他们搜集的资料并作简单介绍。结合本单元所学的故事,请学生谈一谈植树的意义,让学生意识到人类应该善待自然,节约资源,不滥伐树木。
4. 播放Learn the sounds的录音,示范发音,学生模仿练习。然后再次播放Learn the sounds的录音,学生跟读、抽读,练习发音。最后让学生完成Listen and circle的练习,核对答案。
Post-task activities
1. 出示题目Trees are our friends 或 Trees are important,让学生选择一个题目,试着写一篇短文。然后让学生朗读自己完成的短文。
S1: Trees are important. We get wood from trees. We can use wood to make pencils, desks, chairs and paper. Trees can keep the air clean. They can cool the air too. Birds make their nests in trees. Small animals build their homes inside trees. Trees are our good friends. We should plant more trees.
2. 请学生看《练习册》Task的第一部分,在方框中画一片森林,然后根据提示介绍这片森林。接着,学生分为若干小组,在小组内互相问答,了解组员所画的森林里有什么以及森林能给人们带来什么,把组员画的森林合在一起变成小组的大森林。
S1: What’s in your forest?
S2: There are some trees, some birds and some animals.
S1: How many trees are there?
S2: There are …
学生根据小组的森林图完成第三部分的写作练习,写一写他们的森林里有什么,森林能给大家带来什么,该怎样保护这片森林等等。
