一、教学目标(Teaching aims)
1. 利用Draw and say的地图提供场景导入单词，帮助学生学习Look and learn中的核心词汇。
2. 通过Think and write有关方向的练习，帮助学生初步感知核心句型。
二、教学重难点(Teaching points and difficulties)
1. 词汇：post office, along, turn, left, right, between, flower shop, hospital, toy shop,
get to.
2. 句型：Walk along Winter Street. Tum left at Spring Street.

Pre-task preparations
1. 让学生按实际情况回答问题。
T: (S1’s name), where do you live?
S1: I live on ... (name of street).
T: How do you come to school?
S1: By bus.
T: Is there a park near your home?
S1: Yes, there is.
2. 向学生出示一幅标有各场所标志的地图（如课本第63页Draw and say中Jill家的地图），根据教师的提示，让学生说说这些场所的名称。
T: Look at this map. This is Jill’s home.
Where does she live?
S1: She lives on Brown Street.
T: Is there a restaurant near her home?
S2: Yes, there is.
While-task procedures
1. 利用学生的座位表，复习有关位置的介词，导入left, right及between。
T: I cannot find (S1’s name). Where is he?
S2: (S1’s name) sits near (S2’s name).
T: Yes, I can see him now. Who sits behind (S1’s name)! Who sits in front of (S1’s name)?

T: Who sits on the left of (S1’s name)? (raise the left hand to show left)
Ss: (S3’s name).
T: Yes. (S3’s name) sits on the left of (S1’s name). Left, (write left and draw a left arrow on the blackboard)

用相同的方法导入right及between。邀请三位学生到讲台前(如S1、S2及S3),引导学生说出新学词汇。
T: Who’s on the right?
Ss: (S3’s name).
T: Where’s (S2’s name)!
Ss: He’s between (S1’s name) and (S3’s name).
T: Where’s (S1’s name)?
Ss: He’s on the left.
T: Very good!
2. 利用教室的座位，深入教授turn right, turn left, walk straight, go along等关于方向的表达。
T: Now I have a rubber. I want to give it to (S1’s name). How do I get to (S1’s name)?
(walk toward S1). Well, first I walk along the aisle between (S2’s name) and (S3’s name), and then shall I turn (use a hand as an arrow to show left or right) this way or that way? Left or right?
Ss: Right.
T: Yes. Then I walk straight to the end, and (S1’s name) is on my...
Ss: Left.
T: (arrive at S1’s seat) Yes. Thank you.
3. 玩藏宝游戏。教师让一名学生当寻宝员，在不让其看见的情况下把一样文具，如教师的红笔给某一学生。大家一起指引寻宝员。
T: Now let’s do a treasure hunt. (S1’s name), please help me find my pen. (show S1) the pen) Now I’m going to hide it. Please don’t look, (pass the pen to one of the students)
T: OK. We’re ready. (S2’s name), can you show (S1’s name) the way please?
S2: (S1’s name), walk along this aisle.
S3: Turn left at the end.
S4: Stop. Now the pen is on your right!

出示Think and write的图片，让学生指出 turn left, turn right, walk straight等方向，并写一写。可制作更多的路线图。
4. 出示课本第63页Jill家的地图。结合地图学习Look and learn中的生词。
T: This is Jill’s home. She wants to buy some toys for her cousin. Where can she go?
S1: She can go to a toy shop.
T: (write toy shop on the blackboard)
She wants a new pair of shoes. Where can she go?
S2. To a shoe shop. There’s a shoe shop on Brown Street.
T: (write shoe shop on the blackboard) What about flowers?
S3: A flower shop.
T: (write flower shop on the blackboard) Jill is not feeling well. She wants to see the doctor. Now where can she go?
S4: (point to the hospital) She can go there.
T: Yes. This is the hospital, (write hospital on the blackboard)
T: Now Jill wants to post a letter to her friend.
S5: (point to the post office on the map) She can go there.
T: Yes. Jill can go to the post office. (write post office on the blackboard)
Post-task activities
1. 快速反应游戏。出示一些商店、医院、邮局、餐厅、超市等的照片，让学生说出单词。
T: Now let me show you some photos, (show the photo of a hospital)
Ss: Hospital.
T: Yes. When do we go to the hospital?
Ss: When we are ill.

2. 利用Draw and say 中Jill家的地图，学生分组开展活动，画出路线并说一说。
1) Jill is ill.
2) It’s Mother’s Day. Jill wants to buy some flowers.
3) Jill wants to see a film with her friends.
