Pre-task preparations
1. 与学生进行问答游戏,复习flower shop, post office, hospital, toy shop 等词汇。
T: I have a small parcel. I want to send it to the UK. Where can I go?
S1: The post office.
T: Doctors and nurses work there. What’s this place?
S2: The hospital.

2. 考察学生对学校周边环境的了解,复习核心句型。
T: I’m at the school gate. I want to go to the supermarket. How do I get there?
S1: Turn left, walk along the street, and then turn right. There’s a supermarket on... (street name).
T: I want to buy some toys. How do I get to the toy shop from our school?

While-task procedures
1. 出示Listen and say的图片,让学生认清路名及地图上的所有店铺。
T: Look at this map. Kitty is here. What’s the name of the street?
S1: It’s Winter Street.
T: What’s on Winter Street?
S2: There’s a park, a hospital and a children’s garden on Winter Street.
T: What’s on Spring Street?
S3: There’s a flower shop, a post office, a cinema, a toy shop and a school on Spring Street.
2. 导入Listen and say的课文,引导学生注意对话内容。
T: See the question marks above Kitty? She needs help. What does she want?
1) Where’s Kitty now? (She’s on Winter Street.)?
2) Where does Kitty want to go? (She wants to go to the post office.)
3) How does Kitty get there? (Walk along Winter Street, turn left and walk straight.)
4) Where’s the post office? (It’s on Spring Street. It’s between the cinema and the flower shop.)
播放课文录音,让学生听录音并跟读。然后引导学生完成课本第59页Listen and say的后续练习。
3. 导入日常用语 Excuse me. Is that right? How do I get to…? 等。
T: Kitty is asking her way. Who does she ask?
S1: A man.
T: Yes. She doesn’t know the man. What does she say? Does she say “Where’s the post office?” right away?
S2: No. She says, “Excuse me.”
T: Yes. How does she ask the way?
S3: She says, “How do I get to the post office?”
T: When she wants to make sure if she has the right way, what does she say?
S4: Is that right?
T: Yes. Kitty is very polite.
出示课文,挖空日常用语,让学生填空。
4. 导人Ask and answer栏目的语段。出示Ask and answer中的图。
T: How many people are here? What are they doing?
S1: There are two. They’re talking. The little boy is asking the way.
T: Where are they?
S2: They’re on Orange Street/Apple Street.
T: What does the little boy say?
S3: Excuse me. How do I get to the cinema?
T: How do you get to the school/the museum/

让学生根据地图任意选择一个场所,两人一组表演对话。
Post-task activities
1. 完成《练习册》Task中Think, draw and write 的简易地图制作,模拟一些场景,让学生根据Ask and answer展开有关问路的对话。
T: Excuse me. I’m not feeling well. Is the hospital far from here?
S1: No, it isn’t. It’s quite near.
T: How do I get to the hospital?
S1: Walk along...
2. 教师在前一课时布置作业,让学生课后在家长的协助下画一幅自己居住区附近的地图,标清路名及超市、公园、医院、电影院等设施,并带到学校来。让学生结对子,根据Ask and answer的问题,互相问答。最后,作为回家作业,学生根据Think and write部分提供的语境,根据提示把对话填写完整。
