Pre-task preparations
1. 播放Listen and enjoy的录音，学生边听边跟读。然后根据儿歌内容，选择两位较胖的男孩和两位较瘦的女孩到教室前面来表演儿歌。看哪一组学生的表演最精彩。换两个髙个子的男孩和两位矮个子的女孩到教室前面来表演儿歌，要求把Listen and enjoy的歌曲中的 fat和thin分别换成tall和short。看哪一组学生的表演既准确又生动。
2. 让学生在Draw and say的画框中画出自己的一个朋友，然后两人一组互相介绍朋友。
While-task procedures
1. 猜人游戏。请几个学生到教室前面，让他们在黑板上画一画自己的好朋友，然后说几句话描述朋友，让其他学生来猜测这几个学生的朋友分别是谁。
S1: He’s tall. He’s thin.
Ss: Is he ... ?
S1: Yes, he is./No, he isn’t.
2. 引导学生理解Culture corner里的文化内容。
T: (point to Mrs Wang in the picture) Look at her. How is she? Is she happy?
Ss: No.
T: Why? Do you know?

让学生先想一下这个问题：为什么Joe说了You’re fat, Mrs Wang.之后，Mrs Wang不高兴呢？通过这一思考，学生容易懂得人们都不喜欢自己被人认为是胖子的心理。对基础较好的学生，还可以类推，让他们懂得在生活交际中也要尽可能避免说别人You’re short.引导学生思考在介绍朋友、同学或家人时要注意用词。同时,告诉学生一些可以用来替换fat的单词。
3. 出示Listen and enjoy的儿歌中的单词(fat，boy)，让学生在卡片中找出自己认识的字母。教师先示范：
T: (show the flashcard of the word如,point to the letters f and a) This is “ f ”. This is “a”. (show the flashcard of the word boy to a student)
S1: (point to the letter b)This is “b ”.
…
然后从字母Aa的读音着手，先帮助学生认读和书写新授字母Hh。
T: (show the flashcard of the letter Aa) This is “Aa”.
(show the flashcard of the letter Hh) This is “Hh”.
Ss: Aa, Hh.
出示字母Gg的卡片并领读全班学生，然后再出示Listen and enjoy中的单词(again, girl),帮助学生认读和书写新授字母Gg。
T: (show the flashcard of the letter Gg) This is “Gg”. Gg, Gg.
Ss: Gg, Gg.
T: (show the flashcard of the word again and point to the letter g)
This is “g”.
Ss: Gg, Gg.
T: (show the flashcard of the word girl and point to the letter g)

4. 让学生诵读Learn the letters的儿歌，并找出含有字母Gg和Hh的单词。然后带领全体学生按照字母表的顺序将已经学过的字母Aa至Hh背诵一遍。
Post-task activities
1. 用多媒体呈现教材中出现过的动物的图片(鹦鹉、羊、狼、狗、猪等等)，通过有关动物的猜谜游戏，复习本单元学过的形容词和句型。
T: It is not fat. It can say “Good morning”.
What is it? A bird or a sheep?
S1: A bird.
T: It is fat. It goes “baa ... baa”. What is it? A sheep or a wolf?
S2: A sheep.
T: (show the picture of a fat sheep) Fat, fat, fat. What is fat?
S2: Fat, fat, fat. The sheep is fat.
2. 学生三人一组戴上动物头饰（鹦鹉，羊，狼）到教室前面表演。可根据学生的实际情况增加一些简单的对话内容。

B: (face the class with one hand pointing to “the sheep”）Look, This is Miss Sheep. She is my friend. She’s fat.
(face the sheep) Hello, Miss Sheep. How are you?
S: I’m fine. Thank you. How are you，Miss Bird?
