【教学目标】
1. 学生能熟练运用本单元重点词汇和动词词组的一般过去时谈论周末情况。
2. 学生能根据提供的写作样板(主题句、写作顺序、写作语言)独立完成一篇叙述自己上周末情况的短文。
3. 强化一般过去时的各种句型并能在具体的语境中运用。

●重点:运用恰当的主题句、timeline、时态完成写作短文。
●难点:熟练地掌握一般过去时的各种句型并能在语境中恰当地使用。

【新课导入】
Step l: Lead-in
1. Talk about what the teacher did last weekend.
Show the pictures and ask the students to talk about what the teacher did last weekend.
T: What did I do on Saturday morning?
S: I think you read the newspaper.
T: What did I do?
S: You went shopping.
T: What did I do in the afternoon?
S: You listened to music.
T: What did I do on Saturday night?
S: You ate a lot of delicious food.
T: What did I do on Sunday morning?
S: You drove the car to the park and took some photos.
Listen to the sound and ask the students to guess what the teacher did last weekend.
Or: Look at the pictures and guess what the teacher did on Sunday afternoon,
T: What did I do in the afternoon?
S: You played ping-pang.
T: What did I do on Sunday night?
S: You took a shower and slept early.
2. Ask and answer.
T: What do you think of my weekend? Do you think my weekend is relaxing, busy or awful?
S: It’s relaxing.
T: Why do you think my weekend is relaxing?

Step 3: Writing 3a
1. Talk about the pictures of 3a. What did he do on Saturday and Sunday?
2. Look at the pictures and complete the passage. (3a)

4. Ask 5 students to read out the passage.
6. Ask one of the groups to come to the front of the classroom and share their sentences to the whole class.

Step 4: Writing 3b
1. Pair work: How was your last weekend? What did you do last weekend?

3. Ask one student to the front and write it on the black-board.
4. According to the checklist, check his/her passage.
