教学目标
1、 语言技能目标
(1)能够通过“修建房子”为线索,掌握写作步骤与技巧,构建写作的整体性;
(2)能够通过运用恰当的关联词以及增加开头和结尾来美化文章,完成写作;
(3)通过前面的写作铺垫及写作练习,学生能够较完整地写出一篇介绍英语学习的方法和经历的作文,使学生具备中考写作的综合运用语言的能力。
2、情感目标
(1)通过教学过程中学生体验、参与、合作交流方式的任务型教学方式,发展学生的语言综合运用能力,培养学生积极的情感态度,让学生在体会英语写作的喜悦。
(2)培养学生良好的学习态度,了解成功的秘诀。
新设计
本节课是人教版新目标九年级上册Unit1 How can we become good learners? Section B(3a—3b)为模板的写作教材整合,以“修建房子”为线索,引导学生陈述英语学习的方法及经历,共同讨论怎样才能成为一名好的语言学习者为话题,为学会写作的基本步骤和技巧,为学生提供一个写作的平台。同时,还要有效地培养学生的写作兴趣和小组合作能力,根据学生实际情况,进行教材分析和教材整合,并适时地对学生进行德育教育。
学情分析
九年级学生虽然已经掌握了一定的词汇和句型,但他们的语言基础贫乏,在写作中常常出现汉式英语,语意不连贯,逻辑混乱等问题。因此,如何面对中考作文进行有效的写作训练是我们必须思考和解决的问题。对于初三的学生来说,他们更感兴趣的是如何用英语来表述与现实生活息息相关的话题或寻求某个问题的合理的解决办法。为了促进初三英语写作教学,我从学生的实际水平出发,有目的、有要求地进行训练,运用话题作文作为模板,由易到难,循序渐进地对学生进行写作训练。
重点难点
重点 :
1、掌握本节课有关英语学习方法的短语,熟练运用by doing的句型结构;
2、通过“搭建房子”的比喻,熟练掌握“由词到句,由句到篇,美化作文”的写作步骤和写作技巧;
3、根据写作话题,完成一篇质量较高的作文。
难点 :
1、如何运用“搭建房子”构建写作步骤;
2、如何正确使用连接词使文章更具有条理性和逻辑性;
3、如何通过增加开头和结尾美化作文。
教学过程 .
【导入】StepⅠ Lead-in
T: How many years have you studied English? 学生们各抒己见
T: Which part is the most difficult in learning English?
为了给学生一些提示, 屏幕上出现了一些提示。大部分学生认为composition 是最困难的。
T: How can we solve the problem? Today, let’s discuss how to write a good composition?
成功导入了教师需要的主题和氛围,自然地引出本课关于写作的主题。
设计意图: 通过与学生进行沟通与交流,让老师与学生之间彼此的陌生和警戒消失,拉近彼此的距离,从他们学习中想要解决的话题入手,让他们有话要说,通过共同的参与,释放他们紧张的情绪,调动他们的学习积极性,同时,也开门见山地过渡到本课的主题,使学生在轻松愉快的气氛中进入本课的学习。
【导入】StepⅡ Presentation
T: Let’s enjoy a short video and think about what the video describes about?
学生欣赏一段“修建房子”的视频。
T: Who can tell me what the video describes about?
S: It describes about building a house.
T: Great! In fact, writing a composition is like building a house. We should finish it step by step. Do you want to have a try to write a composition like building the house?
Ss: Yes! T: Today, we will finish the composition together “How to Learn English Well?”.
学生需要根据“修建房子”的四个步骤,完成作文。
设计意图: 通过视频的导入,刺激了学生的感官,不仅吸引了学生的注意力,也使他们产生了写作的冲动。通过写作内容的呈现,使学生清楚地明白今天我们要完成的写作任务,同时,针对写作普遍存在的现象——“如何写好一篇作文”导出写作步骤。学生通过“建造房子”的视频,直观地感受英语写作技巧,不仅使重点的呈现不显得单调乏味,更有利于对学生写作步骤和技巧的记忆,为后面的写作环节做好铺垫。
【活动】StepⅢ New words learning
屏幕上再次出现“打地基”的图片,学生将“打地基”与词汇学习结合起来,更容易地明白写作的基本步骤。利用多媒体课件以图片的形式将本节课写作任务中需要掌握的单词及短语呈现给学生。
T: I will show you some pictures on the screen. And I will give you only two seconds on each picture. Then tell me what he/she does in the picture.
学生通过图片和短语的提示,快速地抢答并拼读单词:listen to music, watch English movies, read English newspapers, talk to an English teacher等。
T: These are some ways of English learning. We can learn English by_________.
Ss: We can learn English by listening to music/…
学生齐读句子,通过句型结构的练习,熟练掌握by doing结构的用法。 设计意图: 通过词汇这一环节,不仅对所学单词及短语进行了巩固,也对简单句型进行了操练,本着由词到句,由易到难,循序渐进的教学原则,对学生的词汇量及句型结构进行简单地拓展,学生在轻松的氛围中不知不觉地复习了在本次写作中可能会用到的动词词组,激发了学生的求知欲,达到了“学中用、用中学”的目的。同时,也教会了学生在大量的语言实践中学会遣词造句,从而为由句到篇的写作技巧作了进一步的铺垫。语言知识是由易到难的积累,让学生体验到成功的同时,也增强了他们学习的信心。
【活动】StepⅣ Make sentences
画面中出现房子的框架,要求学生对“房子”进行“添砖加瓦”。
T: Let’s continue building the house. We should combine the words to make sentences. Translate the following sentences into English as many as possible. For example, we can say: “We should speak English as much as possible” or “ We can speak English as much as we can”. So remember, the more sentences you make, the better you’ll be!
全班分成6个小组,给小组分配任务,每个小组完成一个句子,要求他们用不同的句型结构表达同样的意思,学生通过所掌握的句型结构,大胆地说出不同的句子,小组之间进行竞争。随后,我对学生翻译的句子进行订正与评价,看哪个小组造的句子又多又正确。
T: A composition is made up of sentences. I need one student to help me to read the composition.
最后,通过一张还没有完全竣工的房子的图片,再次询问学生,“Do you think the house is beautiful? and is it a good composition?”,自然过渡到“美化作文”这一环节。
设计意图: 这个环节设计的目的使学生积极地参与到教学活动中,让学生再次感知句型结构,心中做到“由词到句、由句到篇”的框架结构。为后面的写作提供了素材,环环相扣,实现知识的连贯性,步步地引导学生的思维靠近写作的目标。同时,小组之间的竞争和一定的语言环境激活了课堂,让课堂变得生动,让学生有话可说,把静态的知识变为动态的语言,让学生感知单词和句子之间的结构,句子也就自然而成。
【讲授】StepⅤ Beautify the composition
“房子”的框架已经搭建好,句子之间的连接形成了一篇文章。
T: Choose the proper conjunctions to complete the passage.
屏幕的方框中出现了一些连接词,教师让学生再次阅读文章,选出正确的连接词对文章进行美化。“房子”的外墙和简单的装饰已经做好。
T: Do you think it is a perfect composition?
Ss: No.
T: Who can tell me why do you think it is a perfect composition?
S: Because there isn’t a good beginning and a good ending in the composition.
T: Yes. A good composition should be added a good beginning and a good ending. Now let’s have a try.
设计意图: 这个环节的设计,实际是为学生的写作搭建了更多的阶梯,不仅巩固了连接词的使用,培养了学生在写作过程中合理地使用连接词来美化文章的意识,也提高了学生英语写作的兴趣,拓宽了学生的思路,为后面学生写作练习奠定了基础,让学生更深刻地了解到写作应该注意的问题。
【活动】StepⅥ Add a good beginning and ending
T: Let’s have a try to add a good beginning and a good ending to finish the composition. Do you want to have a try?
Ss: Yes.
T: Please discuss with your partners and write a good beginning and a good ending on the piece of paper.
小组之间的成员共同合作,为这篇文章添加一个好的开头和结尾,每个小组的成员进行激烈地讨论,在完成任务后,选派一名组员进行展示,评价出最好的小组。最后,每个小组展示完之后,我在屏幕上给了他们一个范例,大家齐读,一起感知一篇好作文的整体结构和语言的使用。此时,屏幕上出现了一座漂亮的“房子”。
T: Do you think the house is very beautiful? Ss: Yes, it’s very beautiful. T: Now, let’s have a conclusion.
根据提示和刚才所学的知识,学生共同总结出英语写作步骤和技巧。
设计意图: 这一环节的设计是对本节课美化文章的的进一步运用,通过增加开头和结尾,对文章进行再一次美化,对于初三的学生来说,让他们更好地了解英语作文的结构,可以有效地提高学生的写作能力,让学生体会英语写作的乐趣。另外,这样一环扣一环,循序渐进的设计,不仅提供了学生活动的时间,也增加了他们的写作兴趣,逐步使他们形成了合作意识,使他们在合作的过程中互帮互助,共同提高,同时,这也是老师对学生所学知识能力的的拓展。
【练习】StepⅦ Writing & Show time
T: If you are a worker, let’s have a try to build a house by yourself. Group 1 to Group 3 finish task 1. Group 4 to Group 6 finish task 2. Please discuss with your partners to write the composition.
学生通过小组合作的方式共同完成。最后,小组派一名同学上台用实物投影仪进行展示,我和同学们共同参与作简单的点评。
设计意图: 这个环节是让学生通过本课的学习,将所学到的知识应用于实践生活中,把对知识的操练上升到对知识的运用,为学生的写作提供更广阔的的平台,同时,小组之间的竞争体现了协作和团队精神,也让学生体会到英语写作的乐趣。
【活动】StepⅧ Emotional education
T: I’m very glad to see that all of you have finished building the house. So I want to say success means hard work and the right way.
学生领悟这句话的含义。
设计意图: 通过谚语的方式结束本节课的内容,不仅让学生体会到英语写作的秘诀,切合今天的话题和写作技能,也使学生尝试了成功的喜悦,培养了他们良好的学习态度。
