Teaching procedure
Warming up :Race to be the first to answer( 6min)
Teacher divides the class into two groups
Teacher shows seven pictures of all kinds of activities (Students have learnt)on PPT one by one, asks students to answer.
Which group answer one question quicker correctly get one point,teacher writes the answers and scores on the blackboard.
Step 1 (18min)
1.Learn the text and practice the sentences
a)Students listen to the tape of “ Let’s talk”, and then read after Teacher about the text.
b) role play
T chooses three pairs to role play to show the text .
c)Teacher write the main sentences on the blackboard:
What are you doing? I am doing…
d)T shows four pictures which are used in the warming up and asks students to answer.
eg: T :What are you doing?
Ss: I am doing…
Step2.(6min)
1.Listen and match
a)Ss listen to the tape and do the exercise in the book
b)T shows answers .
Step3(15min)
Person’s changes
T’s demonstration : “What is he/she doing? ”
T asks a boy to do an action, and T asks him/her : “what are you doing?” S answers: I am swimming.
T asks the whole class: “What is he doing? ”,and writes the question down on the blackboard.
T chooses another girl to do the same demonstration.
2.More practice
a)form two Ss in one pair
b)T gives out pictures about different themes(have a picnic or in the park) to each pair, makes every pair to make sentences as much as possible.
c) Ss volunteer to show.

Homework : read the text five times.
