导入新课 Step 1. Warm-up and lead-in(2 mins)Teacher greets the class and asks questions to help students review the previous lessons. T: Good morning boys and girls. Ss: Good morning teacher. T: How old are you S1: I'm... years old.T: How tall are you S2: I'm ... metres tall. T: I think you all have done a good job. Now you know how to talk about age and height. Today let's learnt how to talk about living place. Answers the teacher's questions. arouse Ss’ attention, review two important sentence ----"How old are you " and "How tall are you " , lead to the new lesson
讲授新课 Step 2. Presentation (22 mins)1. teach the new words “live” and “too”and the structures "Where do you live -- I live in a house..." T shows the title of lesson 15 on PPT to teach the new word “live” and “where do you live ”. Then, T shows some place pictures and asks Ss “Where is it Can I live in... ”. While showing the "house" picture, T asks "Do you live in a house I live in a house, too.” to introduce and enlighten Ss the new word "too". Next, T plays a short video and ask Ss to fill in the blank “ I live in a house______” . Next, T asks three more Ss to fill in the blanks according to given pictures using " I live in a house in front of/behind/between...2. teach the word "address" and "What's your address -- My address is..."T shows Ss a picture and says "There are four houses. They are all beside the park. Can you find Steven's house " Ss says "No" T says " How can we find Steven's house What do we need(需要)?" Ss says "地址" . T says "Yes. Do you know how to say 地址 in English Let's learn together. " After that, T plays the second video and ask Ss to fill in the blanks " My address is_____". Then, T asks more Ss to do the replacement exercise. 3. T shows a picture of Danny's house to the class and asks " Is Danny's house near.../far from... " , also asks Ss to fill in the blank. Then T Enlightens Ss that they can also use "Is that near/far from...?" to talk about where you live. Then play a guessing game in the class to practice. interact with the teacher to answer questions, finish the exercises and play the guessing game. by watching video and replacement exercise, Ss can quickly get the point how to respond to "Where do you live " and make answers with old knowledge by themselves. They will also easily understand "address = street number + street names" and can better read the information on the pictures.introduce a new way to talk about where you live and get Ss familiar with the usage of "Is that near/far from...
课堂小结 Step 3. Revision and consolidation (15 mins)Go over the key knowledge on the blackboard and the conversation on the textbook. Then, T asks Ss to finish the "draw and talk" exercise on the textbook. After that, ask some Ss to make up dialogue and act it out in the class. Read the new words on the blackboard twice both in English and Chinese. Speak out the correct sentence and its answers under the teacher's guidance. Then Ss read the conversation on the book by roles. consolidate new knowledge and cultivate Ss' ability to use English in communication by revisiting the knowledge points on the blackboard and textbook conversation.
