表示对过去的猜测的几种用法:必定…(肯定的猜测)可能…(可能性的猜测)对过去习惯性做法的猜测 2(1) …, which suggests that they might have kept the fire burning all winter.
(2) our evidence suggests that they did wear clothes made from animal skins.
suggest vt. to make evident indirectly; imply 意为“暗示, 意味, 表明”
Her pale face suggests that she was ill.

The handwriting of the letter suggests that the letter might be from a lady.
从书信的字体上看, 写信人可能是一位女性。2但当suggest作“建议”讲时, 其用法为:
A: suggest + doing
