 Before reading
Task 1 Brain Storm:
Ask:Do you have any worries? What kind of things do you worry about?
Student A:Yes ,I have some worries.I often worry that I have too much homework.
Student B:I don’t have time to do things I want to do.
------
Show pictures of different kinds of problems the students may meet.Ask the students to list some normal problems they are facing. And show them in the screen. Tell them the problems make us feel annoyed.
Task 2 Discuss the ways to solve the problems.
Ask them,”when you have such worries, who do you usually go to for help?”
Students,”Ioften go to my father for help.”------
While reading
Talk 1Have the students to think out some other ways and then list three in the screen:
a. If people have problems, they should get advice from an expert.
b. If people have problems, they should talk to other people.
c. If people have problems, they should keep them to themselves.
Ask them to choose the best way of the three. Tell them they can discuss.
Tell the students the passage in our book may give us the best answer. And ask them to listen and read it quickly and choose the statement that expresses the main idea of the passage.
