Teaching steps:
Step one: Warm-up and review
1、Listen to the sound, and you guess the name of each animal
2、make dialogue: What animal do you like?/Why do you like…? /Where are…from?/Do you like elephants?
Step two: Lead in and presentation
Yes, you like elephants. And can you draw the elephant?
Students draw a picture of elephants .And one come to the blackboard to draw it.
There are some students. They like elephants the same as you. And they write a passage for elephants. Do you want to know?

Step three: fast reading (Reading comprehension of each paragraph)
Q1:Read the article quickly and find out the topic sentence in each paragraph.
Paragraph 1 The elephant is one of Thailand’s symbols.
Paragraph 2 Elephants are smart animals
Paragraph 3 Elephants are in great danger
Step four: careful reading
1. Read the first paragraph again, answer the questions:
Q1: Where are the students from?
Q2: What do they want to do?
Q3: Why are elephants important in Thailand?
2. Read the second paragraph again, answer the question:
What can they do ?

Animals are the same important as people in the nature. People should save and protect animals.

课后反思
因为自己还是一名新教师,所以对初一孩子的特点还有新教材不是特别熟悉,上课的时候感触,对学情预计过高,设计过难。本以为课程设计已经具备了一定的趣味性,可是实际实施过程中还是有一定的难度。再就是对于整体阅读贯彻不够到位,由于时间分配问题,最后的输出环节用时少,没有给学生流出充足的展示时间。
在本节课中令我满意的是:学生都进入到了话题和情境中,能较好地跟随课堂思路;学生朗读文章较好;小组合作积极性高,在组长的指导下,每个学生都能完成自己的那部分任务,特别是各个组长,指导组员,表现十分优秀。
做的不足的:基础差的同学不能快速理解文章的所有内容,在给文章划分结构和找信息环节,有部分同学没有跟上,同样这部分同学回答问题不是特别积极。改进办法是以后多做这方面的训练,让他们的能力逐步提高。板书没有创新,缺乏新颖性。
总之,我认为不是随随便便就能上好一堂课,所以,老师要认真的做大量的课前准备,这样才能充分的利用好课堂45分钟,提高课堂效率,提高学生的学习效率。还有课堂教学有一定的不可预设性,随时会出现教师意想不到的教学环节,所以一个教师的综合能力在教学中显得非常重要,尤其是应变能力。教师要提高自己的业务水平,学习是关键,要有一颗追求上进的心,保持知识和能力的与时俱进,不断的在行动和挫折中历练自己。希望通过这次上课磨课让自己的教学水平得到提高,做更好英语教师!感谢各位老师批评指正,谢谢!
