The First Period (Section A, 1a–2c)
一.教学目标
1、Knowledge objective(知识目标):
(1)掌握本节课单词:guitar sing dance draw chess play chess speak speak English join club
(2)熟记短语: the music club the swimming club…...
2、Ability objective(能力目标):Be able to use can to talk about abilities
-What club do you want to join?
-I want to join the music club.
-Can you sing ?
-Yes ,I can. /No, I can’t.
3.Emotion objective:能够积极参加学校组织的各种活动来丰富自己的生活,培养自己多方面的才能。

2. 情态动词can的基本用法。
Teaching steps (教学步骤)
1. Warm-up and revision(课堂热身和复习)
(1)Daily greetings to the Ss.
(2 ) Play a guessing game. Teacher does activities and ask students to guess.
4. Work on 1a (完成1a)
(1) Match the activities with the people in the picture.
(2) Talk about the picture with Ss using the target language.
T: Can “a” speak English? S: Yes, she can.
【教学设计说明】通过1a的练习,使学生进一步学会运用新单词。。本课时主要学习can的用法,因此采取图片导入法,使学生更加直观的了解本课内容,过渡简单自然。
2. Presentation (呈现新知识)
(1) Present the new words: play the guitar. play chess, speak English, draw,
Show Ss the pictures and help Ss to understand the new words. Help them to say what the person is doing in the picture. Ask Ss to read the new words and sentences, and make sure that everyone can understand the meanings and read them correctly. Then use the new words to ask Ss questions.
T: Can you dance/swim/sing/draw/play chess/speak English/play the guitar?
S: Yes, I can./No I can’t.
【教学设计说明】图片教学法是呈现新知识最简单有效的方法之一,学生通过图片,能更价值观的理解新单词的含义。此环节重点在新单词及词组的意思和发音上,所以要尽量让更多的学生张口说,必要的机械操练是必不可少的。
3. Drill (练习)
Show the pictures. Let Ss say the new words. Then use the new words to make small conversations.
T: What club do you want to join?
I want to join the art club.
A: Can you draw?
B: Yes, I can. /No, I can’t.
A: What club does he/she want to join?
B: He/She wants to join the … club.
A: Can he/she …?
B: Yes, he/she can. / No, he/she can’t.
【教学设计说明】此环节为机械操练,使不同层次学生初步掌握目标语言。机械操练是英语初始阶段教学必不可缺的部分,学生要先从模仿到初步掌握,最后才能熟练应用。机械操练时应注意着重提问成绩较差的学生,由于机械操练比较简单,因此是激发后进生兴趣,培养后进生自信的一个很好的途径。
4. Work on 2a & 2b (完成2a和2b)
(1)T: Now listen to the recording carefully and circle the clubs you hear.
(2)T: Can you get the answers? Please check your answers.
(3) T: Please look at 2b. I’ll play the recording once again. Please complete the sentences.
(4)Check the answers.
【教学设计说明】此环节着重是听力训练。让学生在听对话的过程中抓住关键词汇,由于前面已做了一些训练,因此学生听起来比较容易,让他们都有一次成功的喜悦和感受,这样可以增强他们的学习自信心。
5.Summarize.
情态动词是辅助动词帮助说明能力、意愿等的词,它的用法如下:
(1).它不随主语人称和数的变化而变化。eg. He can sing well. They can play soccer.
(2).Can 后面接动词原形。
(3)变否定句直接在can后加“not”。

教学反思
这节课设计的教学思路是:让学生运用多种方法操练句型 “I can do sth.I want to join the art club.”学会运用情态动词谈论自己的喜好与意愿及在某一方面所具备的才能。通过实践我有以下几点体会:
1、交际式教学:通过创设有利于学生全面主动发挥的各种交际实践活动,让学生主动交流,确立学生在学习过程中的主体地位,帮助学生自主地学,自觉地学,让学生得到充分的发挥。
2、运用多媒体辅助教学:多媒体集视听于一体,更直观更生动形象更具刺激性和吸引力,图片及音像资料有助于学生更直观地更具体地理解掌握教学内容,如生词的教学、目标语的呈现,也提高了课堂教学效率,增大了课堂容量。
3、采用“任务型”语言教学模式:“任务型”教学模式强调从学生的学习兴趣出发,本课在各教学环节设计了不同的“任务”如调查报告,招聘会等,让学生在完成任务过程中使用目标语从而落实语言教学目标。
4、小组合作探究性学习:将学生分组,促进学生间的交流。在合作中完成对重点词组、句型、对话的理解、训练和巩固。
本节课中让我感到不足的是新内容引入时间稍少,设计的内容稍多,有些步骤较匆忙,在今后的教学中要注意教学形式和方法的多样化又要注意内容的紧凑准确。
