From Shy Girl to Pop Star (教学设计)
一、教学目标:
知识目标:掌握本课时出现的重点单词、短语和句型,如:take up, deal with, used to do,dare to do, get tons of attention, be prepared to do, a small number of, make it to the top, ect. .
2.能力目标:Can talk about what people used to be like。
3情感目标:To be able to face your changes correctly。
二、教学重难点:
学生通过教师一步步引导,学会阅读的技巧,在解读课文内容及练习中不断地锻炼和提升自己英语方面听、说、读、写的能力。
三、教学过程:
Step1.Warming up
通过一个Guessing game 来活跃气氛,并导出本节课的讨论重点。
Step2 . Show learning aims.
(在学新课前,先向学生展示三维教学目标,以便学生明确通过本节课的学习后他们有掌握什么。)
Step3. Lead in
因为本单元和本节课的重点就是用句型used to 来谈论人或事物过去的变化。所以在导入新课之前我用一个Guessing game来展示了几位明星的外貌及气质的变化,让学生在讨论中认识到随着时间的推移,人的外貌气质都会发生变化,导入新课,本节课我们继续学习怎样讨论人们的外貌变化。导入后我将让学生欣赏一段Candy Wang的录像,在学生看完后,集体讨论一下通过短片,我们对Candy有什么样的了解,引导学生接下来读一篇短文来了解关于Candy 的更多信息。
(学生对猜测游戏非常感兴趣,明星外貌气质的变化很好的练习了本单元的重点used to do,通过短片形式对Candy Wang有了一个大概的了解,很好的激发了学生想读这篇文章的积极性,所以学生的学习兴趣在热身及导入环节得好了很好的调动。)
Step4. While reading.
Fast reading
速读短文找出每段段意。(阅读策略:注意每段的段首或段尾句)
(2)Careful reading.
细读第一段回答三个问题。(锻炼学生细读短文提取有用信息的能力)初步了解Candy的背景及变化。细读第二段完成关于Candy 成名前后的变化的表格。(锻炼学生细读短文归纳总结的能力),通过第二段我们了解到成名后的Candy在承受一些危害的同时也享受到了一些成名后的好处。展开学生是否想成名的讨论。进而引申出第三段Candy对于想成名的青少年的一些建议。细读第三段把Candy 给青少年的建议补充完整。
Step5. The important language points.
要求学生再读课文集体答疑解惑。
Step6. Thinking and Retelling
给出一些关键词,让学生根据关键词来复述课文。(锻炼学生归纳总结的能力)
Step7.Pair-work.(Talk Show)
Candy如此多才多艺,我的家人也很喜欢她,也很想了解一些她的信息,同学们制作一期关于Candy的Talk show ,来想喜欢她的人详细的介绍一下她的情况。
让学生两人一组,角色扮演,一人是记者,一人是Candy, 根据短文能容两人对话巩固课文。(锻炼学生组织语言的能力)
Step8.Group Work.
通过短文的学习,我们认识到随着时间的推移,人和周围的事物都在不断地发生着变化,我们美丽的家乡沂源在过去的几年里也发生了翻天覆地的变化,包括道路,交通,社区环境,建筑物技人们在业余时间的活动等等,通过展示图片的形式,让学生们在讨论比较中,写一篇短文描写我们家乡的变化。(锻炼学生举一反三的能力)
Step9.Summary.
让学生总结学到了什么,综合上述好的变化都留不开人们的努力,进而进行感情升华,如果要想在以后有好的变化,我们必须不懈的努力
Step10. Homework.
分层布置作业,必做作业:课后写一篇短文描述自己的家人在过去几年中的变化。选作作业:画一张你好朋友变化的图片并用英语来描述她/他的变化。
