Learning aims
1. Knowledge aims(知识目标)
①Try to master some new words and expressions:
cloud、explain、refuse to do sth、offer to do sth、communicate with...
②Can use “Why don’t you…?Why not…? should could”to give people advice .
2. Ability aims(能力目标)
Be able to talk about problems and give advice.
Emotion aims(情感目标)
Be able to understand each other and love the family.

Key points:Master the key words and phrases.
Be able to express the problems people have.
Be able to give people advice.
Difficult points: Be able to use “Why don’t you…?Why not…? should could” and the phrases to give people advice .
三、教学过程设计
Part1: Warm-up
Step1: Show two family photos of a student.
Step2: Enjoy the family photos and the video “I love my family ”.to understand the idea of “Love in a family.”
【设计意图】通过展示班里张书豪同学的家庭照片,吸引学生的兴趣,同时为下一步引入Family 的话题做铺垫。第一幅家庭照片是此同学8岁时一家三口人的照片,第二幅照片则是现在弟弟younger brother 出生后的一家四口的照片,现在此同学已成为一个哥哥elder brother,这样可以把本课文里的elder brother一词自然的呈现出来,单词在具体的语境中呈现更有利于同学们的理解与掌握。视频“I love my family ”的呈现,学生随着视频边唱边舞蹈,在一种欢乐的气氛中表达对Family的爱。
Part2:Pre-reading(读前)
Step1:Have a free talk.
Step2:Show the learning aims.
【设计意图】 通过谈论刚才的视频舞蹈,表达 Do you love your family? But sometimes we have problems at home. 引出Problems in a family话题,然后自然的导入到本课的课题Why don’t you talk to your parents?Section A 3a.
Part3:While-reading(读中)
Step1:Scanning (寻读):
Scan the two letters, and find the key words in each letter.
【设计意图】通过扫读,抓取两封信中的关键词,对文章学习的主要内
容有大体的把握。
Step2:Careful reading(细读):
【设计意图】通过思维导图的设计,使学生对所学内容形成清晰的框架,有利于对文章的掌握与理解。此环节的板书过程中,对文本进行巧妙的设计,把Problem巧妙地设计成简笔画雨滴,乌云(big、black cloud)简笔画悬挂(hanging over)在雨滴上空。既形象的呈现了新词,又形象的表达出作者的心理感受,这一点能唤起学生的心理共鸣。 其中,offer to 作为一个知识点进行了一次点拨,ppt呈现一副学生主动帮助扫地的图片,让学生看图造句,从而达到进一步加深巩固的目的。
Read Letter2 carefully and finish the mind map :

【设计意图】文本Letter2 的主要内容是Robert Hunt给孩子提建议,在细读的要求下,把文本的板书巧妙地设计成 Sun (太阳),则所列举的建议设计成阳光,寓意problems得到解决的时候,我们的心情如同太阳一样bright and warm(温暖、明亮)。同时在文本提出的建议处理上,避免了整句话的提示,只是把关键词列举了出来,这样更有利于学生培养学生自己组织语言句子的能力。其次,在板书设计上,把关于建议的太阳和前面的乌云雨滴放在一起,形成鲜明的对比。把提建议的句型:Why don’t you...? Why not...? should 、could,在板书上形成一扇门的造型,为最后情感升华部分板书所形成的一个房子的造型做铺垫。同时,此环节的处理中就“communicate...with...与....交流沟通”进行了点拨,ppt呈现学生与老师交流的图片,让学生看图造句,从而达到进一步加深巩固的目的。

【设计意图】此设计的目的是使学生对文本进行进一步的理解掌握,学生可以根据思维导图进行复述,也可以根据板书进行复述。学生稍作准备后,两个同学上台复述。
Part4:Post-reading(读后)
Groupwork
【设计意图】此设计主要是围绕本课中心话题(Problem and Advice )进行训练,通过调查小组成员的problems at home,使学生了解他人的问题,为下面的给别人提出建议做铺垫。
Write a letter to your classmate and give him some advice to help him.

【设计意图】此设计能很好的体现本课的重难点,既How to give people advice.学生通过写作,使在对文本学习之后,针对别人的问题能提出合理的建议,从而起到达到本课学习目标的作用.
Part5:情感升华
Step1.Watch the video.

【设计意图】设计目的:这是一则央视公益广告,名为《Family》,讲诉了一个人成长过程中从小时候不理解父母伟大的爱到反哺的感人故事。其画面很简洁,创意却很温馨。通过对Family这个单词的巧妙解读和演化,F,是Father,M,是Mother,I,是Me,每个字母再组个词儿,便凑成了“Father And Mother I Love You!(爸爸妈妈我爱你)的亲情表达,再配上不断演化的字母,春风化雨般地击中了观者的心田。这则广告让我们想起了父母对我们的无私的爱,想到了那“乌鸦反哺”的感人故事,希望人人都要以爱回报父母,让爱在每个家庭成员中洋溢!
Step2.Read with emotions. (有感情的朗读)
【设计意图】在英语新课程标准中,对情感态度的要求:是教师应在教学中不断激发并强化学生的学习兴趣,能体会英语学习的乐趣,乐于接触英文歌曲,能理解他人的情感。对语言技能的要求是:能连贯流畅的朗读课文。Family这则广告里的语言内容很有教育意义,通过字幕设置并配上很有感染力的音乐背景效果,能培养学生读的能力及回报父母的情感教育。以下是视频里的文章内容:

小时候,爸爸是家里的顶梁柱。
Tall and strong he kept the family out of harm’s way.
高大魁梧的爸爸为我们遮风挡雨;
Mother assisted her husband and educated the children in the traditional role of a good natured and hard-working wife.

When I reached puberty, I was not very considerate. I started to pull away from father.

【设计意图】 此设计的目的是:前面的朗诵设计,学生已经进入了一
种love the family 爱的情感教育的情境,所以,借机呈现出课前所搜
集更多的学生家庭照片,配置唯美的动画ppt 效果,使学生把情感迅速转移到自己的家庭中,为接下来表达对父母的心里话做铺垫。
Step4:What do you want to say to your family?
【设计意图】让学生起来表达对父母所想说的心里话,从而达到教育学生要爱自己父母的情感教育目的。
Step5:教师寄语

Love is to give. 爱是付出
Love is thanks. 爱是感谢

【设计意图】情感进一步升华,教育学生爱要更广泛,不仅要爱自己的父母,而且要爱你的朋友和老师,甚至爱我们的社会。
Step6:Summary(小结)
【设计意图】小结本课所学的内容,结合板书,Say: Although sometimes there are problems in our family,if we get on well with each other,and often help to give others advice,we we’ll be very happy forever.边说边把板书绘制成一幅房子的样子,最后在房顶上绘制一幅爱心,寓意温馨、有爱的家庭之意。
Part6.小组评价汇总
【设计意图】评价是英语课程标准的要求,本节课教师在课堂上对学生
的学习情况进行现场激励性评价的基础上,制定本小组评价表对学生的课前、课中的学习情况进行综合评价,具体分为三项:课前任务完成度;课堂任务达成度;课堂活动参与度;本课前已安排小组长做好记录,课堂结束前汇总小组结果,最后评选出第一名的小组并进行鼓励。
Part 7. Homework
Ask your parents if they have problems, if yes, write a letter to give them advice.
【设计意图】通过询问父母现在的problems, 加深对父母的理解。通过给父母写信,就父母现在的problems,给与advice.从而使学生们能进一步的理解父母、爱父母并增进与父母之间的感情。
