教学设计
【课标要求】
外语教学要以发展学生的综合语言运用能力为目标，重视培养学生积极的学习态度和情感，并以发展跨文化意识、增强爱国主义精神、提高综合人文素养为主要任务。
【教材分析】
本单元以旅游为话题，通过谈论世界旅游圣地，展开多种形式的语言训练活动。Section A以世界旅游圣地巴黎为背景，以旅游为话题，让学生展开讨论和学习。3a-3c围绕things you like and dislike about the city展开读写训练。3b借助巴黎这座旅游城市的特点，呈现了更为丰富的信息和语言表达。
学习难点是就旅游目的地、交通方式、旅游行程等方面作出旅行计划并说明原因。
【学生分析】
八年级是一个产生剧烈变化的时期，有的孩子基础较弱、怯于参与活动。有的孩子语言表达能力已逐渐增强，能流畅地表达自己的观点。因此在教学过程中，设置的任务要兼顾各个层次的学生，使他们都有所收获。

1.巴黎著名景点the Eiffel Tower，the Notre Dame Cathedral的读音。
2.就旅游目的地、交通方式、旅游行程等方面作出旅行计划并说明原因。
【教学过程】
Step 1: Warm-up
Play a digital story about “Trip to Hangzhou”, let the five lucky girls show their feelings.
T：Most of you have visited some places, who can share them with us? Where did you visit? What do you think of it?
Ask students to have free talk.
【设计意图】
去年暑假我陪同班里五名女孩参加了上海真爱梦想“去远方”研学旅行，姑娘们幸运地免费进行了一周的杭州之旅。孩子们精心设计的方案从全国300多支队伍中脱颖而出，从而获得了这次机会，全班同学都羡慕不已。我以她们的经历作为热身，并让她们分享自己的感受，激起学生的兴趣。
在五名同学的启迪下，让同学们围绕旅游过的地方进行自由谈论。目的是引出主题，并刺激同学们准备旅游的语言素材。
Step 2: Lead-in
T: Now more and more people like traveling. More and more parents like to take their kids to travel. Because they know a saying: Traveling ten thousand miles is better than reading ten thousand books. Tell you a secret, I’m a volunteer guide of a travel agency. Today I’ll take you to travel. But you have to prepare something. Take your beautiful eyes to enjoy the beautiful sights; have good manners to protect the sights. Please remember: don’t drop litter, don’t draw anything on the buildings, to be a civilized tourist.

【设计意图】
“Traveling ten thousand miles is better than reading ten thousand books”, 读万卷书不如行万里路，用这句话告诉学生实践的重要性。设置情景：告诉同学们一个小秘密——我是一名导游志愿者。今天我要带大家去旅行。旅行前对学生提出要求：带上欣赏美的眼睛去享受美景，带上美的品行去保护美景。此处对学生进行美育和德育教育。播放英文版《带你去旅行》片段，刺激一下学生的神经，让学生猜测今天的目的地。

通过快读、细读的方式了解文章大意、查找文章细节，运用阅读策略获取文中有效信息。我在本环节设置了一个应用任务：David是个学生，他获得了去巴黎旅行的机会，但他不是很富裕，帮他选择旅行方式和可带的礼物。以此让学生将文中所学运用到实际生活中。
在本环节，我还给学生讲解了法国人使用法语的文化知识：作为国际大都市，在巴黎懂英语者大有人在，但当有人同他们以英语交流时，他们大多不理不睬。其次，只有在机场接待处或是欧洲迪斯尼乐园等公共场所，英语才派得上用场。这倒不是法国人高傲，而是他们是把使用法语提高到民族形象和尊严象征的高度。在法国人眼里，在法国理所当然要使用当地的语言。为保护本土的语言文化，法国政府甚至立法限制英文歌曲和影片在媒体中播出或放映的比例。法国人认为，法语实乃世界上最优雅、最优美的语言。我借此对孩子进行爱国主义教育——爱我们的祖国，学好汉语，同时要学好其他国家语言以便于更好的发展我们的国家。
又引出两个关于埃菲尔铁塔和巴黎圣母院为什么出名的问题，几乎没有学生知道，我由此引导学生要善于学习，探索未知。

此环节是让学生学以致用，进行写作训练。五一节即将到来，我为旅行社海选导游志愿者。考虑学生层次不同，我将写作任务进行了逐层递进设计——先根据今天所学介绍巴黎，组内交流，让同学展示后再介绍其他地方，同学们可组内互助。优秀作品用手机投屏展示，选出导游志愿者五一节与我一起“工作”， 我还为小志愿者发了导游证，让情境更加真实。
