本单元主要学习日期的表达方式。本单元主要围绕“谈论日期”这一话题开展听、说、读和写的学习活动，学习序数词的构成以及运用序数词表示日期的方法；学会运用 when 引导的特殊疑问句询问日期；在学习日期的表达法时要先学习序数词的构成，并通过学习能掌握英语表达年、月、日的单词和句型，能够熟练地谈论各种有关日期的话题。此外，还要学习名词所有格 ( 's 所有格 ) 的构成和使用；学习询问表达年龄的句型。能够询问及表达一些常见的节日的日期。

【记忆口诀】
基变序，有规律，多数词尾加-th。
一、二、三特殊记，词尾字母t, d, d。
八去t, 九去e，字母f把ve替，然后再加
-th。
遇到几十几，只变个位就可以。
序数词表顺序，一般须加定冠词。
序数词的用法：
1) 序数词要加定冠词the。但当序数词前有物主代词(his, her…)、指示代词(this, that…)等修饰时，则不必再用the。如：
on the third floor 在三楼
on his twelfth birthday 在他十二岁生日这天
2) 序数词常用缩写形式，即“阿拉伯数字+个位序数词的后两个字母”。如：one → 1st; second→ 2nd; third → 3rd; twelfth → 12th; twenty-sixth → 26th
3) 序数词可表示日期“几月几日”中的“几日”。如:
August 17th 8月17日 October 1st 10月1日
4) 表示分数时，分子常用基数词，分母用序数词。分子大于一时，分母加s。 如：

5. 名词所有格
名词所有格表示所属关系，’s所有格是其中的一种，意为“……的”。看下面的例子并总结’s所有格的构成规律：

1. 单数名词和不以-s结尾的复数名词在词尾加____。
2. 以-s或es结尾的复数名词只需在词尾加_____。
3. 表示两个人共同拥有某物时，只需_____________ 用’s所有格；表示两个人各自拥有某物时，则 __________都得用’s所有格。
双重所有格
“of＋名词所有格”中的名词必须表示人，不能表事物。如：
