Wake up “醒来,叫醒某人”,由“动词+副词”构成动副短语。当其宾语是名词时,名词即可放在wake 与up的中间,也可以放在wake up 的后面;但当宾语是代词时,代词只能放在wake 与up 的中间。

3. I regret eating so many donuts now.
Regret 即可做动词,也可作名词,意为“遗憾、后悔、懊悔、惋惜”
(1)regret doing sth “后悔做了某事”,表示对过去做过的事情后悔;
Eg: I regret disturbing you so long .
我很抱歉打扰了你这么久。
(2)regret to do sth “对要做某事表示遗憾”.
Eg: I regret to have to do this ,but I have no choice .
我很遗憾必须这样去做,但是我别无选择。

4.ate, eat的过去式。一般过去时态由动词的过去式表示,大多数动词的过去式是在动词原形后面加ed,这类词为规则动词。动词原形变过去式有下列几种情况:
(1)一般情况下,在词尾直接家ed .
如: play-played work-worked
(2)以e 结尾的动词只加d
如:like-liked love-loved taste-tasted live-lived
(3)以辅音字母加y结尾的动词,变y为i,再加ed
如:study-studied carry-carried

(4)以重读闭音节结尾的动词,如果末尾只有一个辅音字母,要双写最后这个辅音字母再加ed.

(1)Point to 多用来表示指向离说话人较远的事物,意为“指向” 着重于指的方向, to是介词。
Eg: He pointed to the house on the other side of the river and said ,“That’s my home。”

(2)Point at 习惯上表示指向离说话人较近的事物,意为“指着”着重于指的对象, at 是介词。

(3)Point out 指给某人指出方向、要点、错误等,意为“指出”,out是副词。

一般情况下,point to 和point at 可以替换,但事物名词做主语时,用point to 要常见一些。
Eg: The building points to the east. 这所大楼朝东。
Point at 可分开使用,point后直接跟名词或代词作宾语,at表示方向;
Point to 不能分开使用,但有“显示、说明”的意思。
Eg:They pointed their guns at her head but she was not afraid .
