The ball struck the bat and flew high, above the infield. I gasped (倒抽气). Oh my gosh, it’s heading for Mitzi, Mitzi will never catch it. I don’t think she has ever caught a fly ball in her life. I wish Coach Jim wouldn’t have put her into the game. I know it’s the rule that all girls play, but I want to win. Mitzi just wants to have fun playing softball (垒球).I wish she hadn’t joined our team.
So far we’ve won nine games. If we win this one, we’ 11 have won- all of our games and be the champions, Oh, gosh, look at Coach Jim. He’s standing up and watching the flight of the ball too and I bet he’s thinking the same thing that I am. If Mitzi doesn’t catch it, the other team will score and the game will be over. I’ve got a sick feeling in my stomach. I can’t look, but I have to. Look at her. She has her glove down by her side and she’s moving around.
Now the ball is starting to come down. Mitzi isn’t moving anymore and she isn’t back far enough. It’s going over her head. I can hear our coach yelling from the bench. Back up Mitzi. Back up. Oh, God, I want to win this game so bad. Please let Mitzi catch the ball.
It’s there. The ball has slammed into her glove and Mitzi’s arm is back over her shoulder. I’m closing my eyes. I can’t look anymore.
It’s that? I hear a yell and then another one. I don’ t want to look. It must be the girls on the other team yelling. But that sounds like Mitzi yelling. I’m going to peek (偷看).Mitzi is jumping up and down with her glove held high above her head and sticking out of the top of her glove, like an ice cream in a cone (圆锥体), is the softball. Mitzi caught the ball. We’re the champions.
Mitzi, Mitzi. That was a great catch. I’m so glad you’re playing on our team.

Technology is great, but having a smart phone, iPad, computer, and iPod may be creating depression in those around you.
Kids in competition with technology
Having devices that use the latest technology can be fantastic learning tools for kids, 1 There are weeks that I have needed to text or make calls more frequently than I would have liked while my daughter was with me. At the time I didn’t really think twice about it. 2 Come to find out, it was her way of telling me she needed my attention.
3
Another sign your family members are becoming depressed over your time spent with electronic devices states itself in complaints. My ex-boyfriend began spending every evening on the computer, bringing his cell phone to the dinner table, and playing video games after I went to bed. Over time I became depressed. I felt those items were more important than me whether he realized it or not. I began complaining not because I wanted to nitpick, but because it was affecting my mental health.
Lack of exercise
The effects of exercise on one’s mental health has been proven time and again, so when I became so consumed with my computer and smart phone, 4 I began to be more lethargic, and found it harder to pick my mood up. That’s when I realized the lack of exercise due to my technology involvement was costing me in weight gain and mood.
5 Although invaluable, I have realized the time I spend with my electronics needs to be significantly reduced in order to keep my household sane.
A. Complaining from significant other
B. Walking in the Rain With Ipad
C. It’s a question of changing systems, processes and patient outcomes for the better results.

I wish she hadn’t joined our team.”
She has her glove down by her side and she’s moving around.”
2. D 解析:At the time I didn’t really think twice about it.”
在A和B中选择,是个短语概括题,根据第一句话”your family members are becoming depressed over your time spent with electronic devices states itself in complaints.”
We had a survey about whether we should send children by car. There are half of the supporters believe that more valuable time can be saved for students to get enough sleep. They think children can rest or have meals comfortably in their own cars. Besides they consider it reasonable just for the sake of children’s safety. They also think it offers more chances for parents to communicate with their children.
However, other people hold different opinions. They believe that it results in more traffic jams, especially around schools in rush hours. What’s more, driving kids to and from school will undoubtedly add to the parents’ burdens in aspects like time, energy and expenses. Still, they worry that in the long term children may be more dependent on their parents, which does no good to them.
In my opinion, we should do it according to our living condition.
