Fighting against desertification
Desertification is for what happens when land that can be used to grow crops turns into desert. It is reported that desertification affects around 250 million people every year and especially happens in Africa and parts of South America . Nowadays, it is a big problem in China ,about which we are concerned. There are many reasons why this is happening. First, some parts of the world are becoming drier because the weather has changed, However, the actions of humans are making the problem of desertification much worse .Second ,people plant too much on the same land without giving it a rest. Finally, people cut down trees for energy and to make space for more farms, which dries out the land.
In order to reduce desertification, we need to try our best to stop cutting down too many plants. We must plant more trees and bushes suitable for the dry land. At the same time, it is high time that we should take action to educate and train people in ways of living that don’t harm the usable land.
