教学目标：
1、知识与技能：
1）掌握本课的重点词汇。
2）限时完成设定的阅读任务，使学生能使用速读、略读、预测、猜测
词义等阅读策略理解文章的主旨大意

图，实现运用知识的能力和口头表达能力的提升。
3、情感态度和价值观：
1）通过了解规则和不同国家的文化风俗明白在不同的国家要遵循不同的社交规则，即入乡随俗，提高自己的人文素养。
2）通过讨论环节和角色扮演强化学生的合作精神和进行small talk 的礼仪小常识。
教学重难点:1、引导学生分析理解个别的长难句，对文章能有深入准确的理解，进而理解和归纳出提高社交技能的三个方面。

Step2:?While-reading（阅读）23′?
阅读阶段，既是课文教学的主要环节，又是学生阅读实践的重点内容，这部分教学中将着重训练学生的阅读技巧和策略。这一阶段包含四个环节：略读、跳读和细读。?
第一环节：prediction（预测）1’
?结合导入，浏览标题，预测文章出处，初步完成学生对教材的感知。
第二环节：fast reading(快速阅读)?3′?
让学生快速阅读课文，判断开篇四个问题，进而解答怎样处理这四种情况。
【设计意图】这一环节着重指导学生略读和跳读的阅读策略，培养学生对标题，副标题以及主题句的感知，进而利用这些信息解决实际问题。?
第二环节：detailed-reading??(细读)?20′?
?由于本文层次分明、结构清晰，所以采用分段阅读的方式进行细读,共3个tips分3次阅读进行。Tip 1的阅读任务是按照Why—How---Examples的顺序进行，结束之后有个role-play让学生明白聊天话题的重要性，并且同时让学生知道对话中听的作用,引出Tip 2。Tip 2按照课件给出的框架架构重视speaking 和listening在对话中的作用，最后有个思考题“本杰明的话要告诉我们什么？”最后Tip 3总结四个社交规则，后面跟一个发散思维的开放性问题“如果我们有好的社交技巧我们可以得到什么？”进一步让学生思考会small talk带给我们的好处。?

这一环节每一段不同的活动方式可以激发学生参与的热情，并使学生在完成任务的过程中真切体验“做中学、用中学”的乐趣。?
在进行完以上阅读训练之后，需要对文章结构加以总结。让学生熟悉这种文体的构思和写作过程，因为这种体裁的文章非常实用，对学生自身的写作能力也有很大的帮助。?
Step3：Summary(总结)?3′?
给出概括文章大意的文章，让学生会议本文的结构和每部分的展开方式，为接下来的写作做好铺垫和准备。
【设计意图】
这样可以帮助学生进一步理解和熟悉课文，同时训练他们归纳理解课文大意，使学生抓住课文主体结构，对文章的内容有清晰的思路。这样还能让学生更好地掌握一些重点句子和关键词。
Step4.?writing（写作） 15′?
以交换生李华面临的困境为写作素材，用上本课所学给予建议，以小组活动的模式进行，再自行组织语言和文章。
【设计意图】
有了前面阅读学到的内容和方法，结合老师给出的建议，学生心理已经有了非常丰富的素材，因此在此过程中学生的写作兴趣提升，把学到的语言知识运用于实际，让学生体验到了学以致用带来的成就感。此外在这一步骤中，教师随机选择几学生过文章实物展示，一起发现写作中出现的问题和较好的表达。鼓励为主。
