1、教师用课件出示张鹏与John对话及吴一凡的图片，教师与学生示范对话，并帮助学生理解hard-working的意思，并板书领读。
学生对话练习并展示。
A:I have a new friend,too.
B:Who 's he?
A:He is Wu Yifan.
B:What's he like?
A: He's hard-working.
B:Is he strong?
A:No,he is thin.
学生展示过后，教师提出问题What’s Wu Yifan like?鼓励学生根据小对话内容，全面的回答问题，He is thin and hard-working.回答全面者，教师应适时奖励。
教师用课件出示吴一凡与John对话及张鹏的图片，教师与学生示范对话，并帮助学生理解clever的意思，并板书领读。学生对话练习并展示。
A: Do you know Zhang Peng?
B: Yes,I do.He is my friend.
