◆教学背景分析
教材分析
第二单元“What’s this in English?”位于本册教材预备篇,预备篇是为了使没有英语学习基础的学生更好地使用本套教材而编写的,它起到了承上启下的作用。本单元的重点句型What’s this in English? It’s a/an… 在第一课时。前三课时的教学重点是掌握字母Ii—Rr和日常用品map, orange, jacket, key, quilt, pen, ruler。
“新标准”初中教材是“新课标”指导下的新理念教材。新课标教材与以前使用的人教版教材在词汇方面有许多不同之处,特别是在小学阶段未开设英语课的地方,“新目标”教材使用起来还有诸多不适应的地方,在教学实际中应考虑这一因素,要让学生充分体会到“新目标”教材的优越性。
教学内容分析
(一)主要内容:本单元是预备篇的第二单元。本单元的话题是用英语描述并确认事物,问某物用英语怎么说。本单元的语言材料与学生的日常生活密切相关,主要是问日常用品用英语怎么说,用到句型“What’s this in English?”。在本节课的实际教学中,教师反复研读教材,调整了教材内容顺序,即一开始上课就对上节课学习的内容进行复习,先处理了上单元所学的字母Aa—Hh和日常用语,为本单元学习字母Ii—Rr做好铺垫。同时,教师对教材内容进行了增减,为学生更好地掌握本节课的重点内容提供了时间上的保证,更突出了重点。

◆教学目标
按照新课标的要求,结合学生实际,本节课特制定如下教学目标:
1. 知识目标
使学生掌握并熟练运用日常用品方面的单词,学会问某物用英语怎么说的句型(What’s this in English?)及用来回答某物用英语怎么说的句型(It’s a / an …)。掌握询问怎样拼写某个单词的句型(How to spell it?)。
2. 技能目标
培养学生听、说、读、写综合运用英语的能力。
3. 德育目标
本单元学习内容贴近学生日常生活,通过教学,让学生学会关心日常生活实际情况,热爱生活;通过分组合作教学,培养学生合作意识、动手能力和创新能力。
◆设计思路
在热身复习环节中,让学生跟老师做动作,激发学生兴趣,调动学生的积极性。在教授新内容时,力求用精美的图画和真实的声音来创造意境,来处理本节课的新语言现象,用形象生动的视频来展示逼真的场景。采用小组合作探究方式,用科学合理的教学设计来形成清晰的教学思路,从而达到最佳的教学效果,更重要的是培养学生的合作能力和综合运用英语知识的能力。
◆教学手段
主要运用现代化教学手段及学生乐于接受的手段——多媒体、录音机、做游戏、竞赛等。
第1课时教学设计 1a-2e
一、教学目标:
1. 语言知识目标
(1)词汇:what,is,this,in English,that,map,cup,ruler,pen,orange,jacket,key,quilt,it
(2)字母:Ii,Jj,Kk,Ll,Mm,Nn,Oo,Pp,Qq,Rr
(3)句型:—What's this in English?—It's a jacket./It's an orange.
2. 情感态度价值观目标:
预备篇的主要内容为26个字母和最基本的英语日常用语。教材的编写主要是帮助那些没有英语基础的学生更好地使用本套教材,同时又帮助有一点基础的学生尽快熟悉教材中的人物,激发他们的自信心,增强说英语的兴趣。

教学难点:
记住表示物品的英语单词;明确a,an的用法;将英语字母打乱顺序进行认读和书写。了解一些英语缩略词的意思
三、教学过程
Ⅰ. Review/Lead-in
(1)Play the “Good morning! How are you?” song before the class begins.
(2)Students write down the letters from Aa to Hh by themselves. Ask two students to write on the board.

Teacher shows a picture quickly and asks : “What’s this?” Get the students
to answer the questions like this: “ It’s a key....” Then show the whole of the picture to let the students check whether they’re right or wrong.

Show the 10 letters Ii--Rr on the screen, and teach the students to read them one by one.

(3)Teacher shows some letter cards and invite some students to read these letters, correcting their pronunciation mistakes if there is any.

(1)Present the letters Ii--Rr on the PPT.
(2)Remind students the writing forms of the capital letters and small letters.
(3) Ask students to write the letters Ii--Rr after each model. At the same time, ask two students to write on the blackboard.
(4) While students are writing, move around the room, checking progress and offering help if needed.
(5) Check the answers. Correct mistakes if any.
